I think, all things considered, Spors has done a pretty good job (bar the Damian Downs and Will Still - although we don't know how much those decisions were at Spors door).
Would be a real shame to go back to square one and have the schism between the Saints business side and football side.

Good job? He has done a terrible job. The team is 18th in the championship, can't score, didn't get a good striker, didn't get us a new goalkeeper, appointed a terrible manager and the players keep making mistakes costing us games.
And the bigger story is that we lose another sporting director. Like managers, nobody stays at this failing club very long do they? [Post edited 23 Oct 14:49]

I think you're really under estimating the job that Spors has done.
We basically got all of our targets. What made them targets is a matter of debate.
And I would hazard that many of the decisions that you are placing at Spors door were affected by the current manager (letting Bree, our rightback go, to be Charlton's player of the season, then Still bleating this week that we can't play 4 at the back because we don't have a right back) and the board (Spors was only appointed last season) - look at the shitshow scattergun state of the transfer "strategy" before his arrival | | | |
