I’m sure it’s deliberate. But it’s not working now. Perhaps teams are savvy to it. Either way, I’d like Stephan to encourage more width when we attack and play wingers on their natural side to encourage away swinging crosses from the outside closer to the byline. |

We're nullifying our own wingers by inverting them, and transitioning the ball too slowly.
I don't think it's fair to question Dembeles desire, sometimes I think he's trying too hard. We need to widen the pitch, get the ball to him quickly and let him run at a retreating back line. Currently, by the time the ball reaches our 'flair' players, the back line is set and cover in place. |
Yes agreed. It was only in the last game that he ran well at Swansea"s defence and put a lovely ball through it for Chair whose shot was well saved. |  | | |
