I'm not sure its the crossing that's the problem. For me, it's that either individually, or as a team we are not going past blockers. Burrell (with his pace) and Saito (with his quick feet) aside, we cannot get past a back four or five. We need these two playing, and possibly Smyth, during the first hour when opposition defenders are strong, fit and well organised and they can just block Kone, Frey, Vale etc. | | | |

We need to find an out ball instead of repeatedly trying the thread it through the eye of a needle in congested areas, which happened a lot on our left in the first half. It can't be that difficult to set up to switch the ball quickly. |  |

The answer is to stop having two inverted wingers. One, maybe. Not two. We are unnecessarily condensing the pitch, making us narrow and easy to defend against.
