That is a fantastic interview!
I may think Steve Eyre's reign was a disaster for Dale, but I agree with pretty much everything he says in that interview. I don't agree with the bit about being short-changed at Dale, but he doesn't say it maliciously.

Beech's biggest mistake was to go on about what had gone on before and how much it needed turning round. We all knew the problems, it was his job to sort them and that he couldn't is not Eyre's fault.
Did Keith Hill ever keep referring back to what was wrong because of Parkin?

Hill didn't need to harp back to the previous management because he had reasonable results right from the start.Beech hasn't had the same effect and attempting to point a finger at Eyre was just to divert attention away from the continuing lack of improved results ,and hopefully get himself a little longer to try to turn things around. |  | | |

If we look at some of the remarks from 'daleyounggun' posted on here in the past week or so, and consider the comments Steve Eyre has made on air, it seems to me (rightly or wrongly) that Chris Beech had made a fair bit of 'fur fly' during his tenure, and has made more than a few enemies.
He has undoubtedly got the right results in his job as youth team coach, but I only hope he hasn't alienated himself to such an extent that his position is in jeopardy. |
