How come they couldn't be arsed to get points of the lesser teams?

Wow, unexpected point to say the least. Well organized throughout and even managed to cobble together a handful of opportunities (if no nailed-on chances). Now where was this last week, and on many occasions this season where we have gifted goals and wins to lesser opponents?

Old skool saints. Lose the winnable games turn over the big teams

It wasn’t pretty and Saints barely laid a glove on City the entire game but the endeavour and fight was back after the pathetic showing at Leicester.

Hard to call out a single player when this was very much a team effort but Wellington made a surprise return to the side and played really well against McAtee and then Foden.

Great atmosphere at SMS as well especially in the second half. Probably the loudest it’s been since the playoff semi final against West Brom.

The season can now officially end.

Fantastic Effort.
First time this season I’ve felt proud of them.

decent point against a very expensive but risk free team. City just proved that Russ/Pepball is ineffective against a side that sits deep. We won no 50/50 decisions and battled well, thought Bree & Wellington were excellent considering who they were up against!
This does absolutely nothing for next season but does get us above the magic number AND pisses off the mega-rich rule breakers, which is a massive bonus!

Arguably the best game of the season. If only we could have defended like that against lesser teams than City when we were in the lead
We have got the monkey off our backs so the last 2 games provide an ideal opportunity to play a couple of youngsters eg Dom Ballard
Nothing ventured nothing gained

Great effort on our part! In truth, though, the scoreline also reflects Citeh's inability to get out of their own way (which in many ways is the story of their season).
