 | Your Report | Wrexham v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added by timothyferriss at 04:48:54 QPR delivered a composed and effective performance away from home. Their attack was dangerous, with Burrell proving decisive; the supporting cast https://retrobowl26.org like Vale and Kone kept the momentum going. The defense and midfield did enough to prevent serious threats, though there’s room for consistency and solidity in those areas. All in all, a strong showing and a deserved 3-1 victory. |
 | Your Report | Sheffield Wednesday v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added by Dorse at 19:46:07 A game that dragged like a seal's ringpiece and wasn't enlivened by a goalkeeping error that made Nardi look the kind of stupid rarely seen outside of high-level idiot conventions or US politics. Bright spots were hard to come by but Rhys Norrington-Davies played was solid throughout, bringing the ball forward well and linking with Saito to good effect. Madsen's performance continued on its recent, steady upward trajectory and he deserved his goal, when it came. Other than that, the only things that stood out to me were a ref that was determined to give me an aneurysm and a sublime one two from Burrell for Kone. Regrettable, forgettable and one more time Barry sodding Bannan has made us look like the St Winifred's under 11 girls team (second XI): just retire already! |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Middlesbrough Your Report added by YosemiteSaint at 18:57:29 At eight times zones away, I confess that until yesterday I'd not got to see the lads play since the Wrexham match. Yesterday we looked organized, and I didn't think Boro offered much going forward. (Their goal doesn't go in without that freak deflection.) I have to say, though, that it didn't look like we were playing with any strikers; we were ghosts at best in the attacking third. Until we can find people who can reliably put the ball in the net i don't see us proceeding very far up the table. |
 | Your Report | Sheffield Wednesday v Queens Park Rangers Your Report added by Benny_the_Ball at 16:33:10 A poor game of football decided by 2 moments of madness. The first Count Nardi's curious decision to come for an out-swinging cross that was never there to be claimed. The second a naïve handball from B-T Cadamarteri. In this match QPR returned to performing for just 25-30 minutes. The intensity and fluidity of the previous 3 games just wasn't there. Meanwhile Barry Bannon continues to demonstrate what a class act he is at this level, pulling strings like a master puppeteer. The low fee kick towards the end showed a guile that has been missing from QPR's midfield for several years. Still, after 3 consecutive wins, a point away from home is not to be sniffed at even if the performance was one to forget. As in life, in football everything is relative. The best way to get over a poor performance at Wednesday is to win on Wednesday. Back it up with 3 points against Oxford and this'll look like a great point. COYRs. |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Middlesbrough Your Report added by WestSussexSaint at 20:18:01 Lots to like about the performance. All 3 CBs won the vast majority of their battles, Azaz and Fellows were involved in everything good going forwards and Azaz just needs to sort his shooting out. What a difference it makes having a focal point to the attack - Ross Stewart didn’t get everything right but won a good number of flick ons which just needed Arma, Azaz or Fellows to gamble on. The equaliser was an odd one and from my angle I thought it was a decent block by Wood so would like to see it again. Keep playing that way, the partnerships will develop and the results will come. I agree about the ref. I think Boro players could have caught the ball and it not have been given handball. Dreadful. |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Middlesbrough Your Report added by Bowlercow at 18:47:22 We were definitely the better team today and other than that age old problem of not putting chances away looked much nearer to the team we want to be Every player was worth his place and he should persevere with tha starting eleven Ross Stewart put himself about and looked just about drained when he came off but has earned another start Of the subs Robinson looked lively and should be the natural replacement/sub for Fellows Fellows however should be one of the first names on the team sheet Special note to the referee:- Players other than goalkeepers are NOT allowed to control the ball with any part of their hand or arm We had a clear penalty shout in the second half and a good half a shout in the first half |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Middlesbrough Your Report added by SaintPaulVW at 18:04:05 Much more like it. Well done Will. A win would have been great but a point off the form team is great. The back 3 looked solid, Quarshie and Wood were physically immense. Not sure McCarthy stood much chance with their goal, a really fast spinning deflected ball. Fellows showed some really nice touches and Arma hustled non stop. Stewart pur himself in all the right positions and played well. Hopefully our season is now underway. COYR. |
 | Your Report | Liverpool v Southampton Your Report added by Bowlercow at 18:17:49 This game will give Will a selection headache for sure I'm hoping it spells the end of Stevens as a first choice player All 3 of last nights centre backs are better than him Jelert looks a better bet than Mads and if fit Jander should start alongside Charles Unfortunately Flynn still wants to play the short pass game How do you choose between Scienza,Azaz or Robinson All 3 deserve to start The major disappointment was D Downes He doesn't look remotely likely to become a 10 goal a season player Tell McCarthy just to put the ball into Row R. Other than that gaff I thought he ha a reasonable game At least we saw signes that we have a team and hopefully we will soon start winningk |
 | Your Report | Hull City v Southampton Your Report added by mattthelegend at 20:45:33 Sports Republic Out, Still needs to go clearly out of his depth and is a complete fraud. Another recruiting disaster. Don’t give me all that “ he needs time to work with the players, they’re still hurting from last seasons car crash of a season “ Koeman came in and had a plan of what he wanted and achieved it, with a shell shocked and much changed squad. |
 | Your Report | Hull City v Southampton Your Report added by EvertonSaint at 17:17:35 Have to agree with codge that we can no longer go on with four years of disappointment at St Mary’s. We deserve better as like CODGE, I am a long suffering supporter going back to Boxing Day 1959. How long I last is in the lap of the gods or the NHS, but I long for regular good football from a team that has a chance of promotion, not the boring, frustrating football we have endured since Sports Republic took over the reigns. Just pack you bags guys and let a real investor move in. Someone who will fall in love with SFC. |

 | Your Report | Hull City v Southampton Your Report added by BroughtonJim at 12:51:31 For Sports Republic, there isn't a problem as the revenue for the club is hardly dented. Fan zone choca, Dell bar rammed, half time drinking is up even more. Stadium is selling out, player sales continue,so the experiment with young up and coming managers who can be dictated to will carry on. Juric moaned about the physicality of the players and we continue to sign lightweight ones that must have a sell on figure. This is killing our chances of being competitive. Walking away from the ground after playing the Skates, my mate said " I've watched good teams in 80's, Le Tissier in his pomp, Strachan, Cappuccino and Koeman. All good competitive teams, will I ever see that again"? Currently,I can't help but agree with him. |
