 | Forum Reply | Tyler Dibling Situation Not Good at 16:12 13 Jul 2025
I agree and he seemed to have that attitude most of last season. Either that or he’s simply not as good as some have built him up to be. We will find out how good other clubs think he is in the coming weeks ,but I’d think we’d be mad to turn down £25 million odd for him. |
 | Forum Reply | Little Happening On The Transfer Front at 09:57 12 Jul 2025
If you were a Palace, Bournemouth, Wolves, Brentford, Fulham fan etc how many of our players would you be happy with ? I can’t think of many to be honest Ramsdale , Fernandez maybe but that’s about it. Harwood Bellis at a push but not at the value Saints would probably want. Perhaps more will go abroad but as we found out that not many foreign clubs want to pay the price we may want. |
 | Forum Reply | Is promotion this season possible? at 17:34 7 Jul 2025
We have gone down with a worse side than last time, we have also got a worse squad than the one that finished 4th We do not have Stuart Armstrong, Walker Peters, Che Adam’s or David Brooks. Fernandez is a good player and if no one comes in for him then that is a big bonus. Of course promotion is possible, and it is for the other 23 teams too. A lot will depend on who we have left come September obviously but there are a lot of teams will want to be top 6 . Birmingham look to me to be a bit like Ipswich so can see them challenging for the top 2, along with Ipswich themselves , Sheffield Utd and Leicester. Then a whole host of teams who will be looking for a playoff place, Coventry , Middlesbrough, West Brom, Norwich and even media darlings Wrexham. [Post edited 7 Jul 18:29]

 | Forum Reply | Tall Paul fee instalments taking the proverbial at 09:51 6 Jul 2025
There was always something about Tall Paul’s transfer and the club statement that Nick pointed out that this transfer want as simple as others. Due to our financial situation it’s not surprising we have to sell before we can buy. We would probably need to recoup most of last summers outlay before we can spend . The big problem, unlike last time Dragan got us relegated, we haven’t got a lot of players that others sides would be willing to splash out on. |
 | Forum Reply | Still seems nervous to me at 22:35 1 Jul 2025
That’s one of my fears as well. I want him to do well (top 8 or so) but I can’t help thinking before December Dragan will be looking for his 8th manager since the loon brought us. |

I thought the local village idiot told us how great he was and that Portsmouth (the place) had produced the next world superstar ? |
 | Forum Reply | Ramsdale On Loan at 19:17 23 Jun 2025
Have to agree with this. I’m not sure a loan is a good deal for us - unless the club know we can’t get anything near the reported fee we paid for him. With our financial situation, if we can get a decent fee for him then makes sense to sell and use some of the money to strengthen the team. |

Good news if this sale goes through, it’s having the likes of Tall Paul and Sulemana why we have gone down twice . Sulemana did nothing in the Championship last time so hopefully we can get rid of him too. |

Sorry but I just hear more bullshit from Dragan. Why should this latest “ we’ve made mistakes but will learn from them” be any different then the others. Within 6 months of taking us over Dragan had fvcked us up. Forced a load of new coaches on Hasenhüttl, made him change the style of play, didn’t buy a striker from that moment on we were doomed. By the end of Dragans 1st full season he had Sacked all the coaches he brought in and went on to appoint his 4th manager. The bit about VAR and costing Martin is job is crazy beyond belief. |

Aren’t Goztepes Sport Republics highest ranking club? do they not play in the top league in Turkey? |
 | Forum Reply | Kyle Walker-Peters at 16:53 11 Jun 2025
Been (was) an excellent signing and a model professional. Never kicked up a fuss when we went down 2 seasons ago. The likes of Bella Kotchup and Sulemana can learn a lot from him . Interesting that no premier league club were willing to pay money for him but being a free agent like has been said he’ll get a mid table club . |
 | Forum Reply | Martin Becomes Rangers Manager at 20:04 4 Jun 2025
Goes to show how far Scottish football is behind English. A failed premier league manager gets a job for , currently the 2nd club in Scotland . Will be interesting to see if he’s as good as he thinks he is and actually challenge Celtic for the league. Also if he tries to raid his old club - Bazunu for example - could work out good all round. Bazunu would not have to save to many shots and may even save one or 2 up in Scotland and we might get a decent fee for him. |
 | Forum Reply | Returning Loan Players Could Be Crucial For Southampton at 09:41 3 Jun 2025
I don’t agree with you Nick around Bazunu , I think he’s good at playing a sweeper but not good at being a keeper and the people I speak to have similar views. To some extent I agree with you about Edozie, he’s can be good and hoping his loan spell would have done him good. A lot of fans seem to be slagging off Armstrong and saying we should get rid, I don’t agree and also how are we going to afford to buy a 15-20 goal a season striker to replace him. On paper a strike force of Armstrong, Archer, and Stewart (if and it’s a big if he stays fit) could score a hatful of goals for us next season. |

Unfortunately we have not got too much money to spend this summer so I’ve a feeling we will end up with Bazunu , McCarthy and a free cheap signing to replace Lumley. It does make me laugh the amount of old players some fans suggest we should get back. |
 | Forum Reply | What happens to Rusk and Lallana now ? at 22:33 26 May 2025
What had he done to deserve to be kept on ? He steadied the ship just. He tried to make us harder to beat by taking away any attacking threat we had . And yet we were still getting beat and still letting last min goals in. Leicester and Everton were up there with the worst performances of the season . I wasnt expecting any miracles, He didn’t do as much damage as juric but a clean break is required. |

Seen a video of this on Facebook about 30 mins ago . Did not look good at all, and thoughts are with those who were there, their families and friends. |
 | Forum Reply | Keep Robinson and Sulemana at 09:10 26 May 2025
Why would anyone want to keep Sulemana ? He played well in a friendly against Liverpool 2 years ago scoring twice in the 4 all draw, hoping it would be enough to get a move . Then spent the whole of that summer trying to leave but no one was fooled by him so we had to keep him. Didn’t do anything in the championship last time , sulking half the time thinking he was too good for us. Again no mugs came in for him . Played well at Manchester United away and then had a good game yesterday’s friendly. One thing I noticed how unfit he looked after each run yesterday he needed a couple of minutes to get his breath back . At one point when downes was looking to pass to him he put his had up to say he didn’t want it. About 3 games in 3 seasons for a reported £20 million . |
 | Forum Reply | What happens to Rusk and Lallana now ? at 09:02 26 May 2025
Hopefully Rusk will be shown the door now. Lallana I’d like to keep on the coaching side as he may have a lot to offer going forward. |

All managers/ head coaches get our support at 1st. It’s the action on the pitch that determines for how long. I’m hope I’m wrong but I’m not hopeful and it seems Dragan and his mates are trying to be clever again and as usual going to be wrong. |
