They have just eased past Fulham in the quarterfinals without breaking sweat. They Look very very good, excellent passing, quick movement and brilliant finishing. They remind me of how we were when we finished top 8 four years running, before we sold everything in sight of course. It’s The Southampton Way .
How do they manage to keep all their stars ? Fair play to them.
I think they had an offer from Newcastle of around 90 million for their centre back in the summer and they turned it down. That has never happened here and never will. [Post edited 29 Mar 15:49]

We all know we lack quality .We have Dibling ,Fernandes ,KWP, Ramsdale who are definitely prem quality and I thought our two centre backs were good yesterday which is not always the case. Downes is not doing as well as I thought he would in this league. Dibling gets bums off seats, the whole atmosphere changed when he came on. He is going to be some star .
The thing that pleased me yesterday was the effort the players gave. Whatever you think of RM the players seem to like him and want to play for him. I personally think he’s too arrogant . I backed him last season but I don’t like the way he just refuses to adapt against better opponents but this isn’t going to change and we will probably be relegated but there is fight in this team just lack of quality. The best two players pre season so f***** play them !!! . As soon as Dibling came on we looked decent before that it was pretty predictable and Dull.
Give the flair players a run that includes Alcaraz, don’t stifle their ability . We have players that can hurt teams let them play ffs. Today was predictable and boring. This system might have worked in the championship but it won’t work in this league the players are to good . Sadly I think he’s too thick and arrogant to see it .
Fernandes looked decent when he came on looks a class signing. Start him ffs [Post edited 24 Aug 2024 20:16]
