The best game I’ve ever been to apart from the 76 cup final was Moran silencing the skates at Fratton in 1984 , 9000 saints fans going absolutely fu**in mental right at the end and no time back for them . The second biggest spare was Shane long scoring at Anfield but nothing will ever beat that moment in 1984. A real special moment .

I think it’s been a good window although another decent striker would have been good.

I completely agree with what you’re saying though we have bought well strengthening the midfield and wingers and hopefully they will feed the strikers better as well as scoring a few themselves . We all know Armstrong will score loads in this league if he has a good supply, same for Archer.

In defence I think Wood will come into his own he played well at Watford . We still have THB too.

As I said to someone on here the other day after he questioned whether top championship players would come here.,I said they will come to us because we are a big fish in this league. They know we are after promotion and will want to prove themselves in the premier league.

We can dangle that carrot in front of them .

He also played well at St Mary’s in a pre season friendly when he first arrived .

We’ve also stuck him in at right back a couple of times which is not his position .

Well done Spors !! Stuck to your guns early on and got good prices for Dibling and Fernandes who didn’t want to be here after relegation. Can you blame them ? Both quality prem players.

We’re probably going to sell / loan about 12/15 players with 7/8 coming in which is exactly what we had to do as our squad was massive.

England international? Obviously the England selectors see something.

Not sure what position he played at QPR Pat .

He’ll be fine in time. I think too many people give knee jerk reactions all the time without looking at the bigger picture? I agree he hasn’t been great so far but I think he’ll turn into a good player.

Been on QPR site they can’t believe their luck , they worship him. I think there’s a good player in there far too early to judge him . England U 21 international
