I understand your concern, but the main reason Kelman was sold was because he had 1 year left on his desk and he refused to sign an extension. If they fo spend his fee on Kone I think k it could turn out to be a good deal if he can score more than the paltry sum of goals that Frey, Kolli, Celar and Lloyd managed between them last season. I was thinking along the sa,e lines a few days ago. Birmingham have signed other strikers and even though they sold May, Dykes is still only about 4th or 5th choice there. I would consider resigning Dykes if this deal for Ba is not finalised soon. QPR cannot go into the last week of August with the current set of forwards. They went I to last season with just 3 senior squad strikers and Dykes was one of those. Lessons must hav2 been learnt from that almost disastrous situation. |

His wife being unsettled could be a reason for his poor performances especially if she had not wanted to move from Switzerland l I haven't seen anything that said clubs have been interested in him, but great if one buys him. |

Qpr may rue the day Cifuentes was not backed by the owners. At least we knew he could find a way to cope with a deficient squad. On the other hand Stephan might be a genius who has struggled in the pre season games because Frey and Kolli have been largely unavailable, along with Varane in cm. If they are fit to play soon we might see some better football and results. Although I am still not convinced with Larkeche and would prefer a more experienced full back signed . Also, if wages could be agreed, sign either Hayden (preferably) or Colback to add to the squad. |

Probably do well to finish 16th this season, unless drastic squad changes or fitness improves. |

This is one reason. I also think that the change in the licensing law that allowed shops to sell alcohol meant supermarkets could sell cheap drinks that undercut pubs. Throw in Covid and the drop in pub culture was complete. Pubs will need to change and maybe open as coffee shops/cafes during day and as traditional pubs for the weekend. |

I recall players used to get cramp playing in the FA Cup finals at Wembley, otherwise they were very rare. Loftus Rd is no Wembley. |

Re larkeche not getting much help from Dembele, I suggest trying to bring Saito back, or playing Smyth instead of the latter. Either that, or sign a more reliable left back. We have learnt next to nothing it seems because the CM and CF weaknesses have not been addressed either. Another lower bottom half season is almost certain unless some transfers are made over the next 4 weeks. |

The result of the club not sorting things out earlier including the nonsense over MC and the delay in getting JS in to replace him (all that fuss over a £.5m compensation). Had JS been in place in June, he could have sorted out deals to leave for the likes of Kelman, Celar and bought in replacements to feature in pre season. Now we go into the opening game seemingly without a fit centre forward and possibly with Chair or Dembele farcially leading the attack. I chose not to attend yesterday partially because the role reversal of the two clubs, but also the lack of strikers meant it would be a struggle to even create chances let alone score goals. |

I don't think he is really championship level. But do prefer him as a false No.9 than Dembele or Smyth. I a.do think a loan to L1 oe L2 until January would be beneficial to him and QPR. |

Thanks. I trued it and kept on receiving a message to retype it into the browser. After about 10 times it finally worked. |

Sad to hear of Mark Lazarus’ passing away. He can be eternally remembered for his time at the club and quite possibly the only real trophy this club will ever win. RIP Mark |

Ditto! Thanks uncle Bungle and to a lesser degree, Sir Les for where we are. I have no interest in watching our striker less team play the team that was nearly always 2 divisions below QPR. I wasn’t around in the old Division 3 days. |

Some fair points there, but I disagree that this has been a very good transfer window. Not much in the way of strikers coming or going other than Burrell for Kelman. Poku looks like a welcome signing, but it looks like a Saito replacement. We still seem to have a disinterested Celar, along with an injury prone Frey. Kolli is still around and Lloyd seems set for a loan out. Do overall I cannot see any real improvement on last season’s pathetic strike force. Mbengue looks ok, Adamson is a replacement for Ashby. Paal looks to have been replaced by Larkeche which to me looks like a downgrade. Edwards has returned to Southampton, JCS is still injured. Again no real improvement on last season’s defence. Colback has not re-signed or been replaced. And we don’t know what is going on with Varane. Is he really injured or just kept out of harm’s way in ongoing transfer speculation? For me it is a meh transfer window. As nearly always, it seems our signings will happen late and points will be dropped whilst the squad gels and QPR will be playing catch up as we endure another bottom third season. |

Thanks for the update, I just saw the BBC gossip page that said they were in talks and thought QPR should be /have been looking at a deal for him. I agree that Millwall will be a big threat with those players. QPR need to get a move on sorting out the squad's deficiencies. As is often the case, about half of QPR signings will come with no pre season training or matches to suit the head coach's systems. The players will take at least until late October (international breaks) to bed in. |

Millwall are linked to be in talks to sign him. Just thinking back to how well he has performed against QPR, why not try and sign him. He is a better replacement for Paal, than Larkeche. |
