COOK

Must start, another captain on the pitch and liable to score a goal. I think bar Esquardihna he has the hardest shot in the team, his timing of kicking a ball is so good with no effort.

Overtaking National Express coaches – Report
at 09:37 3 Oct 2025

I get the rotation but not the choice of who. Surely Kieran Morgan deserved to play in the middle 2,

Odds on Burrell and Frey starting Saturday. I actually thought Frey played well and great to see Steve Cook fit with JCS and Mbengue out tomorrow.

So that doesn’t look good, he isn’t taking us for a ride, genuinely feels sorry for him. As Clive often says players are with us for a reason, if his fitness had been reliable he would be in the Prem. Sam Field came with a similar prognosis and JCS was here before Ben Williams.

Sad really

Gonna need Steve Cook soon

Paddy

Jeff is right basically Patreon doesn’t work for me and had their tech support ( in the States I believe) unable to resolve but works perfectly on Spotify where it automatically linked up.

Gaffer on tomorrow's game

100% bosh. He seems to have that positivity / leadership / not even sure what the right word is.

His first match under the lights, my favourite, hoping a full house raises the team. Suspect quite a few changes and JCS, Illy and Poku all close

Owl be seeing them in League One Sheff Wednesday Vs QPR match Thread

Out of all the matches between the 2 international breaks this and Oxford are theoretically the least difficult. But we are QPR so conversely makes them the most difficult to predict, a massive but is I think this squad has less soft underbelly and therefore I am predicting a 1-3 win.

Owls’ problems coming home to roost – Preview

Tough stuff and tough read, well written, hoping it won’t happen but imagine they can’t fulfill their fixtures, what happens with the points from played games? Thinking this might be a reality. Also wondering why they haven’t had a points deduction already? Last weeks result for them was a miracle, my head is saying miracles don’t happen twice. Anyone know the answers to the two questions?

So will JCS time his return to full fitness with Mbengue’s impending ( it is gonna happen in the next few weeks) suspension? Seem to remember 5 bookings in your first 20 odd matches and you are out for a game, though I could be wrong.

Stoke's issues with Vale continue as QPR make it three from three – Report
at 10:22 22 Sep 2025

Great report Clive. The Mbengue challenge to us looked like, and sounded like, they both kicked the ball at the same time. Couldn’t believe the photo we all saw yesterday, shows how hard it is to referee the championship as we thought he got it spot on, stopping the game to make sure no one was hurt after a 50/50. Need JCS back in time for his suspension.

We are also on that road of sharing the goals scored.

Vaguely remember 22 ( including Owen Goal) scored last year..

I have Owen Goal x 2
Kone x 3
Smyth
Burrell,
Saito
Vale
Bennie
Kolli

So 8 in 7 games with out some regular contributors.

I am part of the goalkeeping fraternity but actually Nardi did well as the cross took a big deflection off RND so the trajectory and loop completely changed after he had started committing himself to the cross.Agree about his confidence on crosses but that wasn’t the one. 1st half corner he just about got a punch to it to give a second corner was worse. It’s a,ways highlighted more when you see what’s at the other end, Swansea keeper was the best I saw at box domination last season at our place.

Nothing to do with having a French coach, Varane, Nardi, Larkeche?

Experienced cover with Walsh injured nothing more nothing less. You need 3 keepers on match day in case one gets injured anyway. Hamer is a good keeper, comes off his line also ( just saying)

Happy Birthday Spaceman ( presume you are not living on Mars)

I’m 63 and still in my head I’ve not even reached 40 yet.

Loftus Road will be rocking Saturday, early goal, equaliser and then the strength of our bench wins the day.

2-1 Kone and Frey, would just love that. There are goals in this team

How did Madsen play yesterday?
at 09:04 15 Sep 2025

Thing is if we play him we are likeLy to create more chances, conversely we are likely to concede more goals. We all know that is the balance. He is the best passer in the team and doesn’t waste time on the ball. The Charlton game ( I wasn’t at Wrexham) it was noticeable how many times he passed the ball with his 1st touch. I see that as creative and acceleration of the ball up the pitch rather than not taking responsibility. He lets the ball do the work. We all know the price of this in his defensive duties but he is improving. Will never be a Field, Varane or Hayden but that’s not what JS wants him for. Thing is we have options depending on where the game is, I assume he came off at the weekend
