Stainrod was the one for me, clearly remember a goal against Boro at HQ that kept us in the FA Cup, basically walked past the whole team into the net and forced a replay. In my head it was the year we went to the final. Loved Byrne and Bannister, wonder what Mr Elbow thinks |

Steve Bould was working for his parent club before coming across I think so may have influence but tbh we have left side covered. The DCM position, obvious pairing is Field and Varane with cover needed. The DS cup final stand out players for me were Morgan and Tuck, and Tuck has definitely filled out, so you could argue we have it covered with those 2 noting Morgan is less a DCM more a traditional M. Suspect this will be Tucks break through season. I’m hoping Collback signs for another year though, less about pace more about timing with him |

He’s injured and getting better medical support at Heston, that’s the only way to read it. He has literally just signed a new contract so we hold all the cards. He didn’t have to sign a new contract after being here just one season, shows intent on his behalf. Hopefully we will see a few minutes in the next seven days. |

Destroyers are still better players at the position they play. Short memories but Varane last game of last season was immense and no comparison to the beginning of the season. We need him and his long destroyer legs, great to have options. Enjoyed the match, Toulouse do play a higher level than the Spanish team so really encouraging. Treatment room still busy imagine if ever they all were fit. |

Presume Varane still injured, good to see Steve Cook on training video yesterday and seemingly an elongated video of Charlie Kelman hitting the back of the net. We need Varane fit, obviously |

Refreshingly honest and not scripted, love the story about the Superstore. I know we go on about the money they earn and all that but he knew he was letting us and himself down. The value of confidence is priceless, hope he delivers. I remember my Watford mate saying he was the best passer on the pitch at their place. Good luck Nico! |

Great choice, all I know is we need Cook fit also. People go on about his age but same age as Van Dyke, the position where you want that experience to support the younger guys. If fit he would be one of my 1st Ames on the sheet. Note he is doing his coaching badges as well. He’s not old, I am. |

I get confused, his interview after signing a new contract, which was only weeks ago?, he talked about QPR being his home. Surely he isn’t going to move such a short time later and injured. No idea numbers being banded about but we have years before we need to sell, assuming he has a 3 year contract with an extension which feels like the norm. Nourry’s plan on us being a development club surely means they must benefit the 1st team also, which he hasn’t totally yet. |

And I agree with you agreeing with Gaza. So the only player of note we have lost is Paal, not many on this forum rated him ( not me tbh) and have gained Poku , Mbengue , Vale and Kelman back from a stellar season. So the squad has to be stronger than last season. Yesterday was very poor but showed how key Varane and dare I say Steve Cook is and the obvious option of playing your best starting 11. Get the buggers fit for August please. |

So we won last years 1st pre season game 9-0 I think. TBH would rather have a reality check now than after the season started. Also Varane not playing is tough, might make Jack Colback ‘s situation interesting. Only saw 1st half luckily |

Not obvious but surely Tuck is on the fringe, especially as a DCM. Said it before at the cup final him and Morgan were the stand outs. Not seen him in any training piccies or videos though. |

Totally agree, me, Mrs Andybrat and two daughters in their 20s there last night and ll thought it was epic. Any band that finishes with Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova have to be special. Just back home, feel like I’ve been out on a real bender which is another good sign |

So unsure if that is a joke but 434 Uxbridge Road just past Queen Adelaide, definitely staggering distance to HQ |

Lovely house lager, especially at 32degrees outside, and am assured the IPA tasted good. Food was pretty awesome, though not cheap. Amazed how busy it was on a Monday lunch time. Scotch egg starter, Chicken Milanese, ice cream ….. no dinner 6 pints between us. Staff really friendly |
