Live sport absolutely is viable though and Sky will have done the maths based on years of FL coverage. The reason it's viable is that live sport is one of the few things people still watch 'live' - therefore it's one of the few places advertisers still want to advertise. |

I don't think that's a concern - yet. Brighton have been appointing managers who have managed at the top level in bigger leagues and managers who have gone deep in major Euro competitions. Marti not in that bracket - yet. Won't be long. |

Sky are claiming they will choose all fixtures for broadcast until FA Cup 3rd round before the season starts, and after that, the rest of the fixtures by end of november. I guess when they're showing so many every week, it makes it easier to decide. Interesting. Until the end of the season, I'd rarely watch a football league game that wasn't a QPR game. Are they effectively assuming that most games will have a viewing number of the amount of fans of the away side who normally only go to hime games, plus a few others? |

One I'm cautiously excited about. Looking forward to him getting more opportunities next season! |

Not a chance he'll drop to championship. He'll go prem or abroad. Not many prem clubs have changed manager, really. |

it was pretty miraculous. I wouldn't downplay it too much. |

This physically hurts me. |

Well, Cook, Colback and Fox all have a year to run. I think that's enough for them for now. JCS has 2 years left. |

Well, not rated above Bellingham, Palmer, Foden, Saka etc etc. That's not the same as 'not rating' him. Southgate clearly likes him. Was going to be in his initial bigger squad for World Cup 2 years ago before his injury. But when you look at the players in his position, it's very, very hard to crack that nut. |

I can't see Marti going to another Champ club unless it's like a sort of Southampton or Leeds type scenario. Gulp. |

I think an issue we have is that we have three strikers. None are prolific enough. None really seem quite good enough. But I also think we are not going to be signing one striker, certainly not two, if we can't offload at least one of them first. No way we're going to be paying 5 strikers for 1 poisition. |

Woah there Bosh. Jury is very, very, very firmly out on Nourry. The reality is we simply have no idea at all what sort of operator he is yet. He might be a boy genius. He might also be completely out of his depth but luckily is surfing the Marti wave. |

Brilliant stuff Clive. Thanks for all your efforts over a difficult season. It's funny, we come to the end of it and think 'what a horrible season' - in fact, it wasn't. The first third was. After that and certainly since the halfway point we've been pretty consistent. Frustrating at times, some awful results, but also some amazing ones. A solid mid-table team. Agree with every word on Marti. Everyone wishing you a happy summer, but of course, we all know you still provide us with a ton more stuff - player ratings etc etc. Looking forward to that. Cheers. |

Well he’s played more games! Overall, yes i think he has been. Is that controversial? I can see why people think Hayden might have been a better signing, but he’s often been sub or subbed. Like him a lot, just think Andersen on a free overall a better signing, yep. |

I'm not getting super excited. 4 signings in Jan and all played their part, but Frey has been unconvincing; Hayden has been great at times, but average at others, Hodge not really figured (crucial goal side). Andersen been good. Hope for a slightly better big hit rate than that this summer. |

I think the reality is it was a season in three thirds. First third absolutely diabolical. Second third an improvement. Third third, really, pretty decent - couple of poor results, but couple of snorters too. |
