I thought that if there was one person to make Capt jack look good in defense, that person must be Edwards. Woefully inadequate, so definitely need another, decent defender. I canât begrudge jack his moment of glory, he was there, did what he needed to, and often had to cover for Edwards too. He, more than anyone should be able to read the signs.
I was pleaded that Robinson got to stay on the pitch when the subs came on. This is good learning for him, like lots of young lads, he got brushed off the ball too easily, and hopefully he learned yesterday that going down will not necessarily result in a free kick.
I agree, a work in progress. For much of the game, I was struggling to see how we would actually score, and Armstrong is clearly not the main answer to that.I was pleasantly surprised overall, and found much of the play to be engaging, compared to the past two seasons. |

Sorry Nick, most of that is optimistic tosh. For all his faults, Bednarek is streets ahead of JS, who is virtually guaranteed to give the opposition at least one golden chance per game. Time will tell of course. At least we donât have the possession buffoon in charge this time around.
I expect there are some Rangers forums that were predicting that they were stronger going into this season. It doesnât make me any happier to see exactly the same fault lines appearing there that we all know so well. |

Should we be lucky enough to beat Italy, I canât see them getting any joy in the final, whoever wins the other semi.It is unusual for mediocre teams to raise their game more than once in a tournament, and we did that already. Iâll be watching trough in the hope that I am wrong. |

Last night sums it up really, some parts were like a dog chasing a balloon, others where it seems they were obliged to give the ball to the opponents under some weird unwritten rule. The penalty shootout was classic England though, even if hugely unprofessional.It is a bit like watching Dr Pimple Popper, you canât not can you. |

It is better than League 1, but hardly better than a lot of youth football. I donât doubt their commitment or hard work, but I believe that professionals who play disjointed and âspaced outâ football hardly deserve much support. The vast majority of womenâs footy falls into this category unfortunately, which is why the Spain performances stand out. Which shows it is possible to get there, as did Football n he USA, after several decades. |

I think he is staggeringly incorrect on that one, but I suspect he may have more direct experience of professional football than the rest of us put together if his record is a criteria for making a judgement. |
