I am more glass half full. It is down to McNulty that we have won 9 out of 11 games this season and have more points per game than any other club in this division. He has attracted some great players to strengthen his squad. He has sought support from the Board to strengthen the coaching team. We were all crying out for Jim to have experience around him to help him with key decisions. After all the dross we have witnessed over the past 5 seasons, I am surprisngly upbeat and the manager has really surprised me. So well done McNulty. As I made my long journey home at 1am after a defeat I would normally be quite miserable. More so given the M62 closure. But instead I had thoroughly enjoyed the game and the pressing in the second half against a very well organised and resolute side. It was a great advert for football at this level. We are a quarter a way through the season, second in the table with games in hand. No criticism of the manager from me. More of the same please Jim. |

Yes you can get your seats from 4pm today until 4pm Saturday. Reduced prices agreed with York too which is welcome. Let's hope it can be a good gate |

Of course it would have been great to send everyone home after a win. But nobody would have gone home disappointed with the quality of the football on offer. It was a very entertaining game and hope they want more of it. |

But there were c2950 on a Tuesday night last October for Dale v Halifax, of which Halifax brought 700. And our form has improved since then. The bus strike may have an impact - but surely we could be on for 3000. |

To be fair, they are not the only club to offer standing room only for away fans - wasn't Truro the same? If they don't think the away fans count anymore (hello regulator) then the least they can be is transparent and make it very very clear that this is standing terrace only and is uncovered. Clubs generally aren't clear on this which is unfair on those that can't stand. Will be interesting to see whether their rich new owners plan to invest in the facilities for the future. I suspect they can't justify when the away gates in National league are often sub 100. |

I have said many times on this Board that people would be surprised as to how many of our fans live outside of Rochdale. It is hard to get to Spotland on a Tuesday night if you are working and don't live locally. I am a season ticket holder but can't always get to a game on Tuesday, and having made a really difficult journey on Saturday at considerable expense, I was never going to take the risk again on Tuesday. There are plenty of people that sit near me in the same boat and don't live localy anymore. I am going to take the risk on Wednesday assuming it doesn't rain beforehand. Our key issue is attracting new fans. Being towards the top of the league, and scoring goals, will bring more through the gate. I too expect us to exceed 3,000 on Wednesday, but a good result at Carlisle will help. |

Can I just say thank you Judd to you and the other volunteers that worked hard yesterday to get the game on. I was personally frsutrated given how difficult my journey to Rochdale was yesterday, but it can't compare to how you guys must have felt. So thanks for trying. As you say we need to hear from the club on what they see as the issue and what they propose to do next. I do wonder whether it is critical to employ a team to continually roll the water off the covers during periods of rain - whether day or night. As Cameron said in his summer update - we will adopt a strict regime to ensure the pitch remains dry. They can't rely on volunteers on matchday to do it. But they will be very worried about the impact on the sustainability of the club if this is a start of long winter of postponements. Playing at Owdum or elsewhere may need to be considered. |

Indeed, just didn't expect it to be an issue in September after 1 day of rain. I had hoped we would last until November or December. But we knew the club couldn't afford the full rebuild in summer. I.wont be taking any risk of travelling on Tuesday that's for sure. |

Just arrived after an horrendous 4 hour journey. Another £70 in petrol wasted. It can test your patience following us sometimes...no doubt won't be able to get to a rearranged Tuesday slot. Rant over |

My word. We have gone all bury all of a sudden. Remember how they bragged about flying to Exeter. Makes sense of course if we have the budget to do it - no travel journey excuses for the manager. |

It all made perfect sense though. I don't expect him to know the names of our players. Refreshing and honest interview from a manager with a paper thin fit squad |

Aye disappointing we didn't chase for more goals. But fair play to Braintree who didn't give up. Agree that Gilmore was superb. Our young keeper is very comfortable. Teams around us all picking up 3 points so we can't afford to relax. Onto Truro. |

Just reading that Braintree only have 15 fit players for the clash today. Thats tough for them. But they are no mugs and managed a point against Forest Green recently. |

Their manager (and he is also Chairman) is such a character. He doesn't half manage to get their club some publicity. Whether he ever plays this keeper we will see. Remember him and his team at the Norton Grange two seasons ago when they visited Dale - he was a bit loud to say the least but the bar takings were good. |

I thought you had had enough of this forum after 33 years you said, and wouldn't be back. How strange you are back. How do you think Little Jim as you called him is doing? You hated that he had been appointed. BBM is doing okay for himself at Cardiff. Remember he walked away from us. And it looks like all that time in Youth Football and shadowing Van Nistelrooy has done him some good. I can only wish him well. [Post edited 26 Aug 15:03]

Not sure Truro will be surprised to be honest. They are doing well with gates so far, even managed almost 2,000 for the National League Cup. Their stadium holds 3,000 and they filled it against York and gave Southend 600 tickets for this weekend. This was extended to 800 due to demand - but that is it. I doubt we'd take 800 to Truro but could be wrong - I suspect sales will be restricted to season ticket holders first. |

Barlow was immense. What an enjoyable game of total football. We certainly footballed Gateshead to death. But they didn't give up even at 4 nil. Our young keeper didn't put a foot wrong and earned his clean sheet when their man was through. As others have said, the depth of the squad is very exciting. |
