Forget Albert Whitehurst's jock strap, Sir Reg Jenkins' fabled no.10 shirt, Gary "Legend" Jones' captain's armband or Ben Muirhead's right boot--- here's the chance to invest in a real piece of Dale memorabilia... and arguably the most important bit of hardware from the previous century at Spotland. Quite simply, without Fred Ratcliffe's chairmanship for 27 years up to 1979, and his subsequent presidency, the club we know and love today would have ceased to exist. Not for nothing was he revered as "Mr.Rochdale" throughout the Football League.
Now his Director's Desk is up for sale through an exiled Daleman. A true collector's item, it has impeccable provenance with a beautiful inlaid diamond pattern patina, finely crafted walnut veneer (part peeling drawers but easily remedied) and comes replete with Fred's old leather upholstered chair.
