All credit to him, and to Stephan and the coaching team who have worked so hard to make him the player we hoped for.
From hoping he wouldn't come on as a sub to now arguably the first name we'd put on our teamsheet is fantastic.

When we signed him Kevin Gallen said several other clubs had looked at Madsen and decided he wasn't a Championship player. Of course we signed him and what a coincidence he played well towards the end of the season.

It's early days and of course I hope he is successful but Stephan just doesn't have the air of a QPR manager - think Critchley and you'll know what I mean.

No doubt he will improve our squad but is another defensive midfielder what we need - he's not the link man between defence and attack our style of play is crying out for.

Shamrock Rovers are running away with the L of I and beat Shelbourne at Tolka Park on Friday.
Masterson never kicked on as others said but a return to a successful team back in Ireland probably a decent move for him.
