He fared a lot better than I expected. A couple of dicey moments, tendency to overplay it at times - he is Brazilian- but feared the worst with no RND and he did well.

Cook, Madsen and Burrell my standouts. Vale and Smyth with big impact off the bench. Kone not at his best but still smashing one in.

And STILL Chair, Poku...JCS (I know) to come back.

You'd expect Ipswich and Saints to sort themselves out over the course of the season but Sheff Utd giving themselves a mountain to climb. Wide open league this year - Wrexham and Birmingham not looking a threat so far. Already 9 clear of the drop, would be fantastic to just spend a season in the top half, anything else a bonus.

Stephan v Cifuentes over two legs, should be a good tactical battle.

Agreed on Varane, definitely feel like I'm watching a different player to a lot of our fans. Esquerdinha looking more comfortable in a tough away game than I'd imagined.

Perfect penalty record according to Transfermarkt. 15 taken, none missed. We know what happens next etc

Poor aside from the first 15min of the second half. Recent starters not as good as they have been, subs too rusty to change things perhaps. Take it and move on.

I was told this lot were crap? They seem a perfectly decent Championship outfit, first XI anyway. Granted we've been poor and handed them their goal.

Will Still has to be under serious pressure already. A new manager comes in, takes a shine to Ronnie and that's goodnight Vienna

He's played pretty much every game for us for the past three and a half seasons, couldn't blame him if he was a bit mentally fatigued and needed some time out of the starting XI.

Not as low as a Dunne assist for the Burrell goal 😎

Tell you one thing, we are in dire dire need of some new, vaguely original songs. We even have Jimmy Dunne and Sammy Field both to Daddy Cool ffs.

Norrington-Davis thoughts?

Not glamorous, not a baller but a solid first showing. Much-needed Championship experience having been in and around a top team in this division for years. Knows what needs to be done and has a point to prove. Could be a shrewd signing.

Not just a personality hire. Sent that defender for a wagyu hot dog.

Certainly not gonna be getting any £20m bids for our players if we're in League One

A penny for Jimmy Dunne's thoughts today as a man who could've surely had his pick of Championship clubs. If everything in the camp is quite so bad why did he choose to commit his best remaining years to us?

Real difference I feel in identity with QPR vs other Championship clubs. Coventry are on the up, have a clear way of playing with attacking football and no shortage of quality. Are all of their players being sold on 'the project' like our new signings are? Can't help but feel if you're told "have one good season here then you'll be off" it doesn't engender a particular sense of pride in wearing the badge.

Same with Millwall, you know exactly what you're going to get with them - even Sheffield Wednesday managed to fight back for a draw today while we were totally gutless.

Positioning for the seventh was horrible. They had eight shots on target and seven of them went in, not exactly a ringing endorsement of his abilities is it? He was also in goal when we shipped six at Leicester in the Cup. He's not good with his feet, he doesn't look much of a shot stopper so what is he apart from tall?
