A 1 in 2 striker in L1 swapped for a 1 in 3 striker in L1 with £2m pocketed. Also sounds like he may fit Stephan's needs better. Can't complain. |

Shame we won't get to see if Kelman can make the step up in our colours but left with no other option if he won't sign a contract, you also get a sense the club think this might be his ceiling.
Whether or not it's wise letting him go to a divisional rival remains to be seen (although if we have a sell-on and he starts scoring in Championship he'll be worth more than if he was doing so in L1/MLS).
Imagine we're banking on Poku/Dembele/Chair getting 10 goals each and whatever rag tag bunch of strikers we end up with chipping in with a few too. |

As I said, it's not necessarily black and white but if it's a mental health issue you'd have thought they might've said *something*. Even if it was as vague as an allusion to the club supporting him through some personal issues with a view to being available for selection again in the future.

Now of course none of us know what's gone on BUT surely if he was suffering from mental health issues it would be pretty callous of the club not to put this into the public domain while he gets pilloried online. There's precedent for this with Lyle Foster at Burnley off the top of my head, perhaps other players too.
As it is, the facts are that Cambridge took one look at him and tried to send him back last year and we didn't want him. There may be shades of grey here but the evidence certainly points in a particular direction... |

As others have said, if it started getting up towards £7/8m for our two assist, one goal central midfielder you'd have to start thinking pretty seriously about it.
On the flip side, if he could add more attacking output to his game on top of his battling physical attributes then we'd have quite the player. |

A rare feel good story in modern football. Inevitably followed by obligatory transfer talk - he's hitting a level that the big boys won't be able to ignore now, surely? £68m release clause touted would mean £13.6m for us. Would be transformational for a new manager. Although we did spend big by our standards last year and didn't do us much good... |
