Julien Stéphan, I mean, come on...
at 09:58 5 Oct 2025

Nourry didn't make those substitutions or score those goals. But without him doing his job, those that did would've struggled. It's a team game, on and off the field. Right now, it's working more effectively than previously and I'm happy to see it! I don't know who does what - I'm a punter, same as everyone else - but it takes time yo get things right. Maybe this current spell is the result of the right people taking the time to reflect and address the problems we all saw leading to the Coventry defeat?

I like the adage 'don't fix the blame, fix the problem.'

Thought Madsen possibly had his best game to date. The number of interceptions and quick tackles he made (in the first half particularly) really impressed me - he was reading the game brilliantly. But it was his passing that was the big difference: quick, round-the-corner moves, receiving and releasing in tight areas, ridiculous.

Either he's getting it, or I'm starting to get him.

Kudos all round for not giggling about Mehmeti's first name.

I know we are behind but, compared to the Oxford game, this is a much better showing.

If could wave the magic wand, I would wish for someone to release Saito early. There were a few occasions when he was wide on the touchline, with both Burrell and Kone central on the shoulder of their CBs, with about 35 yards to run into if Varane / Madsen / Esquerdinha had seen him. He'd have beaten his man to the first ball at least and then, who knows?

I've said previously that I find Dembele really frustrating. Not because he's a bad player but simply because you can see what he's trying to do and, if it ever comes off, it'll be brilliant. It just never happens. Result? Piss temperatures reaching critical levels and a player who is burning off fans' patience.

If Spaceman can just hold off wearing that pink shirt, we might be alright. To be fair, it is better than the dehydrated wee-wee kit from last year but still: kill it, kill it with fire!

Anyway, fashion advice notwithstanding, I believe in Spaceman. Even when things go wrong, he probably might almost have not very much at all to do with it. Potentially.

QPR 3 v Oxford 0.

That photo - the View From kit(s) are still my all-time favourites but I remember being really cheesed off with the way they bunged the sponsor's transfer on with Pritt Stick. The Compaq version had the sponsor as part of the fabric and looked awesome. Still got mine (unless Dorse Jr had half-inched it in that way of his).

Iff someone's showing him these pictures, could they show the others players too? That'd be really helpful.
