Yep. Even considering the quality of the opposition (which was terrible) it was nice to see how we tried to keep our foot on their throats for the entire game. Some of the pace in our passing and movement was a delight to behold.
As you say, it could easily have been six or seven.
I guess some people love Wales so much that they can't wait to drive a dual carriageway right through some of the prettiest parts of it so people can get to Bangor 60 minutes quicker.
I'd imagine the good citizens of Rhyl would prefer that their taxes go to providing services in their area as opposed to ensuring that the inhabitants of Splott don't have to drive an additional 30 minutes for their flight to Magaluf, but then I'm not a Moron.
If you actively support nonsense like the ongoing subsidy for Rhoose Airport then you're not pro-Wales. You're pro Cardiff. It really is that simple. Welsh Government exists entirely for the betterment of one city and about 400,000 people as opposed to a country and 2.6 million others.
It's the duty of any actual Welsh people (as opposed to pretend ones, who mostly seem to base it on hating England) to oppose this nonsense.
Got no doubts that he's a good coach and someone people can follow. Tactically is he as good as we can get? I have my doubts and so, apparently, do quite a lot of important people at the club.
I think we need to recognise that Alan Sheehan is a top bloke, a good coach and despite that still might not be the right choice in the long term to lead this club. If he gets the job permanently I will support him until he gives me reason not to. If he doesn't I hope he sticks around, but if he chooses not to I hope he does well wherever he ends up.
It's quite refreshing to have a head coach at the club that I respect on a personal level. Been a while.
Wales would still have airports. Just not ones expensively subsidised in order to make the Capital City feel better about itself.
That's the only reason why hundreds of millions are being spaffed away on an airport that isn't even in Cardiff. Frankly anyone who lives outside the CF postcode area who actively advocates that the situation continues is basically a Quisling type.
I'm coming around to the belief that Sheehan is a steady Eddie. We will be nowhere near the drop zone with him in charge, but I'm not sure that he's got that certain something to inspire a team to seriously challenge for promotion either.
Not disputing his ability as a coach. The turnaround in form since he took over from Williams suggests that he understands the game on a fundamentally deeper level than his predecessor and the players clearly like him. Just got a nagging feeling that we'd be settling with him.
Depending on how things go we could do both. If Darling goes then we're basically down to Cabango and maybe Naughton at a push.
Filip Lissah I understand is highly rated but has struggled with injuries. Ideally as a near 21 year old he should be ready to step up as third choice but might not be yet.
If decent money is around what we're offering Darling then perhaps something can be done.
I like him as a player. I think he's done well, and left footed central defenders have added value. Gawd knows we're probably going to need at least one capable CB in the Summer at any rate, so I'd expect the club to at least investigate the possibility of making him that.
It's the ongoing weekly costs that rack up the annual deficits. Most transfer fees can be made to, if not disappear, but at least appear far less on the balance sheet with accountancy tricks. A £1m salary is much harder to hide.
I don't disagree. Setting up to contain lesser sides is the main thing that pissed me off about Paul Clement and something no manager should be doing. Having said that, they had just won four on the bounce so weren't perhaps total mugs.
I can accept employing Fulton as an extra physical presence if we offset that with a bit more imagination on the front foot and we didn't really get it. We just got Ronald for the full game despite being a bit crap on the day. I'm not sure that he'll do an awful lot different on Wed.
Yes. A player should be free to take his defender on, not stop and pass to someone else in space. Going right back as far as Cooper's lack of use for Celina and Peterson you can see how we've moved away from that.
Any kind of serious pace or flair has been coached out of all of them since. They've just been told to play the numbers. Stick to the "process", even when that clearly doesn't work and/or is tedious to watch.
