Full name players

Some get the 'privilege' of being fully named, e.g. Sammy Smodiczs, Barry Bannan, etc

Have we had any like that?

Just started the Assassin - v good.

The first 2 episodes of Alien: Earth are very promising. Nicely paced, and I can see it becoming a fave. Great needle drops at the end too.

Best film you’ve seen this decade. Since 2015.

So many could be here.

Inside Out is brilliant and a life changing movie. I'm a massive Villeneuve fan so any from BladeRunner 2049, the Dunes, Sicario, or Arrival.

Jordan Peele's Get Out and Us are fabulous, I'll always find time to watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

It's not the best, but my favourite is Room. Brie Larson is outstanding, Joseph Tremblay superb. Brilliantly written and shot, it's fabulous.

I LOVED Barbarian. It started one way and then just went somewhere completely different.

There was humour in Weapons which I hadn't expected and appreciated the moments of levity.

Some more recent film watches...

Inside - Aussie prison drama with Cosmo Jarvis once again being brilliant.

Weapons - first film from the makers after Barbarian. The first two acts are great but it's a bit predictable in the third - some great gore if you like that of course.

The Naked Gun - Remake we didn't know we wanted. And still don't. Terrible.

The Fantastic Four First Steps - best of the superheroes films for a while until I saw...

Superman - this was brilliant. Loved the storytelling, casting, the whole thing.

Carabao Cup Winners thread - victim one - Plymouth Argyle

Stephan is picking teams for 3 games. I'd much prefer we fielded fewer first teamers today and give us a fighting chance against Watford. Having said that, the lack of legs in the dev squad was disappointing.

Interesting how we see the games though; I thought Kolli was pretty rotten. 50% pass success rate and missed a sitter.

Plymouth are also threadbare for this game - loads of kids and 2 GK on the bench.

It doesn't look like it's being broadcast on QPR+ - is it on the TV does anyone know?

They've just revealed Jimmy Floyd is going to be on the next one.

Another reason not to watch.

Check the goal and it was Field on the line following it in - Celar had stepped back for the ball to be pulled back to him. Not sure how much more up the pitch Field might be!

Just realised as I headed to my seat in ER that this is my 50th season supporting us.

It's the hope that kills you.

I was at a business thing there last season and he's doing a great job with them. Really nice guy and we had a good QPR chat.

What have learned ?
at 23:24 2 Aug 2025

What have we learned?

That we have the spine of a decent team. Walsh and Nardi are OK - not great but good enough. We have 4CBs who can play the ball - the issue is getting them - and keeping them - fit enough to last a season. Varane and Chair as a 10 and all we are missing is a striker. All the best QPR teams I've seen have that spine. Players come and go around it but we really aren't as bad as some make out. Lower mid-table...15th.

I'm a big fan of timewasting offences by keepers being punished with a corner to the opposition team.
