Quick poll who would you rather as our boss? Saint Brendan Rodger’s v Sheehan
at 17:51 28 Oct 2025

Of course there 2 sides - Brendan has been playing his part in every press conference since their Champion league qualifier defeat Supporters will believe who they want.

We are past the point for the return for Brendan with his ego. It would be a big step down for him … & he would be pretty dismissive imo, anyone who can’t see that is deluded.

Brendan Tic er Tock
at 10:33 28 Oct 2025

Boom !!

Refreshing to see a statement like that put out rather than the usual begrudging thanks & best wishes. It certainly portrays the polar opposite of how he conducted himself in press conferences this season. It also lets supporters know where the club stand on it. The supporters will decide for themselves.

Brendan achieved decent results up there & wont have difficulty with an abundance of offers likely to come his way. He may be waiting a long time for a ‘big club’ offer after this. He makes it sound like he has not been backed, they say he has been involved every step of the way. There is something definitely broken & he has done the honourable thing to walk, not many do that …

Maybe the Forest & West Ham owners should be a bit more open on what is going on behind the scenes

Charlton away, parking off m4 and train/tubr it over ???
at 16:52 27 Oct 2025

Last time we went we parked somewhere like Hounslow east or west then tube via London Bridge. I agree with Pencoed though, take the train from south Wales if you can for a better day. Few pints of London Pride will set you up nicely

Feels like the WRU are rewarding failure & losers (Cardiff & Newport). The people running the WRU (based in Cardiff, not even Welsh) do not understand rugby in Wales.

If this goes ahead I think it’s going to backfire big time on the WRU. They already have 80000 unsold seats for the Autumn internationals. I can see less and less people from west of Cardiff making their way to watch international rugby. Absolute joke. Time for the Ospreys to apply to play in the English league ?

Constructive Feedback For The SCFC Coaches & Management
at 13:11 23 Oct 2025

Great original post. The same type of feedback applied equally to Martin & Williams. The fans have have got here quicker this time. I’m afraid the performances when Sheehan was caretaker have proven to be a false horizon. Tick tock - it’s just a matter of time now, it will take a significant change in approach to turn this around

As long as Jess Phillips is involved this enquiry is going nowhere. An absolute disgrace & shameful for consecutive governments to facilitate this issue which appears to be ongoing

Southampton v Swansea City : Match day thread (UPDATED)
at 23:20 15 Oct 2025

We’ve been embarrassed by Southampton & looked beaten before a ball was kicked in the last few meetings against this lot. I was there the day JJS hit a late winner down there though. Be surprised if we get anything from this one.

We should get around 1500 or more tickets for Charlton?
at 23:12 15 Oct 2025

We took 3200 to Charlton for the first game of the season, first season in the Championship under Martinez. That was the whole end behind the goals where the away end is located. If the demand is there I’d imagine that we could get the same again

Two tier Keir justice is alive & kicking.

Meanwhile the BBC are obsessed with putting as many reporters in the Middle East as possible & still they present a biased narrative

There is no logical reason why the WRU should have to give each region the same amount of funding. The strongest (usually Ospreys or Scarlets) should get more than the weakest Newport. That is the way of the world in professional sport. If 2 regions is the answer there will be a mass exodus of Wales best players. Far fewer people will travel to watch Wales play. WRU are playing a dangerous game that could end getting even worse than the current situation

Is Swansea really one of the UK's worst cities to live in?
at 21:41 12 Oct 2025

Negative scores on the PwC index for jobs, income, health, new business and the environment. Can’t really argue with that. The area has lost all the well paid industrial jobs replaced by failed call centres, fast food outlets and over reliance on public sector jobs. Can’t help but point the finger at devolution as the thriving industries & commercial city centre hubs have been decimated since the hey days of the 70s & 80s.

Still surprised to see the city in the bottom 10 with thriving cities like Liverpool, Manchester & Newcastle. Can’t help but question the scoring criteria.

You don’t have to go far to see the drug problem in many areas of the city and the city centre which is essentially a series of building sites for ‘student’ accommodation

What is the worse case - Plaid propping up Labour or Labour propping up Plaid ?

It’s going to be a hung Senedd. Hopefully Reform can throw a spanner in the works.

Better still just abolish the place it’s been a disaster for Wales & Welsh people from day one (unless you live in Cardiff & district of course)

Next time you are watching A Place in the Sun on a cold, dark, winter afternoon do something positive & get a place in the sun. You can reduce the winter period significantly & improve life expectancy. Not to mention 320 days of sunshine, living your life outdoors , cheaper cost of living, cheaper beer, etc etc

Sadly Moda closed earlier this year, the owner succumbing to the offer to change the building into flats. Told me he was hoping to re-open at some stage somewhere else

Hope you have a good day. I would love to see Bellamy get one over on them. The reality is that it could turn into a rout if England get ahead early.

How is Alan Sheehan doing ?
at 08:03 5 Oct 2025

Sheehan earned the job with the performances & results when he was temporarily in charge. Williams, Duff & Martin were not exactly hard acts to follow.

We have a stronger squad than last season.

He is showing inexperience & seems slow to react to situations. He is negative with some of his tactics, substitutions & team selections.

The owners should be casting an eye around to see who fits the profile to get more out of this squad. Sheehan needs to improve and quickly or pressure on him will build. He has gone from overachieving to underachieving

Martin Hodge news is put to bed, but what’s the ‘Worth’ in recruitment ?
at 11:08 24 Sep 2025

The Ospreys & Scarlets could do with a Keith. The Cardiff based press are forever pushing the buttons to demean & belittle the west Wales rugby clubs too. All this on a backdrop of Cardiff & Newport seemingly unable to win half a dozen games a season between them. Absolute disgrace of a journal with p poor jealous, biased & bitter journalists. Keep it up Keith

Birmingham City v Swansea City : Match day thread

No manager gets it right all of the time. A case can be made for protecting what you have on occasion & a case can be made for making changes to get a win or finish the opposition off. Postecoglou went for finishing us off in midweek by bringing on Hudson-Odoi & MGW & it backfired.

Sheehan has messed up 2 weeks running. The biggest sin of all options is doing nothing or leaving it too late when changes clearly need to be made like yesterday. Luke Williams was the same. We have a stronger squad at this level now than for quite a few years. The best managers get the changes right more often than not.

Sheehan needs to improve in this key aspect of being a manager or get ‘lucky’ more often
