FIFA to Replace Football With Football-Diving Next Year
at 16:04 8 Jun 2025

They might as well after watching The French diving athletes defeat the chronic tippy-tappy German divers. Even Saints would have given that Germany team a decent battle although we would have had 5 penalties awarded against us.

Clear Penalty Ignored by Ref and Pundits Shows Clear Bias and Cheating Yet Again
at 11:42 26 May 2025

Less unbelievable and more accepted normality now. The 'lesser' team, Saints, didn't matter just brush off a clear penalty to Saints. 'None of us saw it, or thought for one instance, it was a penalty'; pundits ignore it and there's no question of using VAR.
Good riddance to the Cheating Premier con and its sycophants. Good to get back to some proper, more honest football ( he hopes!).

Saints set the blue print for Palace victory but with better forwards
at 19:06 17 May 2025

Defend for your life and break when you get the chance. And they did but Saints didn't have players like Munoz and Eze to nick the odd chance unfortunately. City tried to rectify the previous performance with two wingers but Palace, and Henderson in particular, held firm.

Palace are also a blueprint for Saints, however, the levels of quality are quite a distance apart. They do have a great coach. Congratulations Palace.

Reasons to Be Cynical
at 09:54 20 Apr 2025

I enjoyed reading the 'Party Time' thread on here and there are plenty of reasons to be cynical. However, the 'most' of the fans ain't one and some of the players.

Right, so that doesn't leave much not to be cynical about I suppose. Something I saw yesterday that I can be very cynical about was Lesley Ugochukwu showing the badge to the fans. Now that is something to be very cynical about with the guy going back to Chelsea in a few weeks (unless there's a deal to keep for next season but can you trust SR to make that move or decision?).

I was going to list all the reasons to be cynical but I can't be bothered, it's just everything else other than the fans and a few players.

Probably the best team possible v Spurs
at 12:57 6 Apr 2025

As above, let's see what they can do. 4-4-2. Interesting to see Oniachu and Stewart on the bench. Any odds for Stewart coming on with ten minutes to go and scoring the winner?

Looks a 'decent' team. 4-3-2-1. Still a bit negative. Stephens back as centre half.

Criticising Sports Republic on 'The Saints Network' - Censorship on Fans
at 16:08 19 Mar 2025

Simply put: they deserve criticising because they're mostly useless and incompetent. If most of the fans had cocked-up in their jobs, the way SR has cocked-up, they would be sacked with no compensation.

On Sunday a mate of mine was criticising SR with just a simple comment, 'SR out' on 'The Saints Network' YouTube channel chat and they were timed out of making any further comments throughout the rest of the show.

They'd seen that the rugby loving presenter had tried to defend SR in the previous episode or two of the brand new show. So the timing-out of criticism does seem fishy and one wonders whether the show is not bought and paid for in some or most respects by SR.

Why the heck can't fans criticise SR - it's perfectly legitimate because they really are incompetent (it can't be denied; look at our run of poor managers, players bought, loaned and released and league position alone) and they're running down Southampton FC.

Sports Republic have to prove to the fans that they are competent. Dragan has made some important changes and this implies that he knew SR were performing poorly. So even he's recognised that the Club couldn't go on as it was but are these changes enough - I don't think so. With the exception of Dragan the rest of the ownership needs replacing now, before next season.

It's incredibly embarrassing for true supporters when the pundits on MOTD don't even mention us any more when they analyse a game involving Saints because the team simply are too embarrassing to bother making comment about and have no value in making any positive comment. Aribo said as much during the week. Some of us do still believe in maintaining dignity and pride with and through our football club.

Playing with one centre back, with one on the bench, is certainly different!
