 | Forum Thread | Criticising Sports Republic on 'The Saints Network' - Censorship on Fans at 16:08 19 Mar 2025
Simply put: they deserve criticising because they're mostly useless and incompetent. If most of the fans had cocked-up in their jobs, the way SR has cocked-up, they would be sacked with no compensation. On Sunday a mate of mine was criticising SR with just a simple comment, 'SR out' on 'The Saints Network' YouTube channel chat and they were timed out of making any further comments throughout the rest of the show. They'd seen that the rugby loving presenter had tried to defend SR in the previous episode or two of the brand new show. So the timing-out of criticism does seem fishy and one wonders whether the show is not bought and paid for in some or most respects by SR. Why the heck can't fans criticise SR - it's perfectly legitimate because they really are incompetent (it can't be denied; look at our run of poor managers, players bought, loaned and released and league position alone) and they're running down Southampton FC. Sports Republic have to prove to the fans that they are competent. Dragan has made some important changes and this implies that he knew SR were performing poorly. So even he's recognised that the Club couldn't go on as it was but are these changes enough - I don't think so. With the exception of Dragan the rest of the ownership needs replacing now, before next season. It's incredibly embarrassing for true supporters when the pundits on MOTD don't even mention us any more when they analyse a game involving Saints because the team simply are too embarrassing to bother making comment about and have no value in making any positive comment. Aribo said as much during the week. Some of us do still believe in maintaining dignity and pride with and through our football club. [Post edited 19 Mar 16:12]

 | Forum Thread | Albert Looks the Ticket at 12:30 22 Jan 2025
I don't want to to put the mockers on it, and all fingers crossed, but Albert Gronbaek, if YouTube film is anything to go by ( and often it's not because the bloke has to perform in the EPL) looks the biscuit etc: fast, strong, direct, got a shot and intelligent. The kind of player we should have been buying 4 years ago and for once a very capable midfielder. He looks exciting and I'm one I'm excited about putting on a Saints shirt. Just the the kind of buy I'd expect Juric to pick up. No doubt I'm overly optimistic but let's see him put on the shirt as soon as possible. Rock on! [Post edited 22 Jan 12:31]

Seems like a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 but no centre forward, yet two up front but no Archer. Seems a strange team selection. Fernandes back but Ogochukwu, Aribo and Manning in midfield. Sulemana up front with Dibling. [Post edited 12 Jan 15:46]
