If the rumours are correct then we're on the verge of signing Tom Fellows from WBA. From what I've seen of him he's a bit lightweight but very, very quick & athletic. His experience in Championship is a bonus & he will be an upgrade on what we currently have.
It is likely that any players we bring in will not be as good as the ones that are leaving so that means we will be weaker when the window closes. I hope I'm wrong.
I've just listened to WS's pre match interview before the Northampton game. He looks & sounds absolutely shattered & fed up. Perhaps that's just his demeanour but it's not exactly inspiring.
Why are we so good at making average players even worse. Many of our current squad arrive having good reputations & after a few months with us they are looking very poor. Players just don't improve at our club, is that down to poor training & coaching or is it just that they are surrounded by poor players & drop to that level.
I know many will be glad to see the back of both Tall Paul & Sulemane but the reality of it is that we have sold our two best forwards. We know that neither have had a great time since they've been with us but they were our biggest & on occasions our only threat going forward. I just hope SR know what they are doing & spend the incoming transfer fees wisely. No more players with a history of injuries hopefully get some that know where the goal is.
I see Adam Lallana has retired from playing. Does that mean we'll find a coaching role for him. I know he contributed nothing last season for us but he has had a really good career including numerous England Caps.
When Will Still accepted the job at St Mary's it was rumoured that he would be bringing his two brothers with him to work as backroom staff. Did that actually happen.
England's performance against Andorra was just so embarrassing & painful to watch. But so good that Thomas Tuchel had the bottle to say it as it was after the game. He made it very clear that it just not good enough. Where has the passion & energy gone from our National team.
Looks like we're signing a big young fast central German defender named Joshua Quarshie. I panicked when I heard this I thought were were bringing back a 46 year old Nigel Quasie. Who remembers him he'd been relegated more times than Aaron Ramsdale.
I'm finding the choice of Will Still even more interesting now that it's apparent that he intends to bring his two brothers to our club as his backroom staff. I just hope that SR get this appointment right, it could be seriously damaging to our already in turmoil club. Is he really joining us for the right reasons or is it just a convenient way of getting back to the UK lifestyle.
If rumours are correct then Leicester are keen on getting Russell Martin in as Coach. As much as I personally don't rate him he'll probably be a good fit for Leicester in Championship.
I get fed up with the club telling us porkies. It very obvious to all of us that the likes of KWP & Bednarek are not ill or injured. They are not playing because they are being protected from injury. They probably already have a commitment to move on. If that is the case we're going to find out soon so why all the smokescreens. We deserve to be told what's going on.
Anyone remember Nathan Jones. Well, he's taking Charlton to Wembley for 3rd tier play off final. But in doing so makes an absolute idiot of himself against Wycombe last night. It's one thing showing passion but this guy takes it to a different level. He's crazy ( but we already knew that).
