It's not just stability we need. We need a few players with "ability ". |

Don't worry Grumps. He's gone & never to be seen again. |

Simon Rusk taking the reins again, best of luck to him, he'll need it. Lallana also getting involved but in what role I'm not sure. Next season will to a rough ride for whoever takes the reins. |

But I bet he's on the treatment table today. Being pampered like the rest of them. I expect they will all be given a few days off now to mentally & physically recover from their exertions on Sunday. It must be a bitch being a professional footballer. |

I just don't get it. If a player is fit enough to be named as a substitute then surely he must be fit enough to start. Onuacho apparently nursing an ankle injury but is on the bench. There is a strange face on the bench as well, Ross Stewart , how many minutes before he's injured again. |

He'll never make a big impact unless he gets his attitude right. He needs to knuckle down, get fit & prove himself. I think he's only had a couple of decent games, that doesn't make him a star. I'm surprised Juric is giving him game time he doesn't deserve it. |

The point I was making is that although Tall Paul might not be Premier lge class. But unfortunately he is the best we have & if he's still with us next season he'll score for fun in Championship. Yes, that is where we are. [Post edited 3 Apr 13:55]

I personally never embrace failure but sometimes we just have to accept it, as is the case for our club this season. We'll get over it but it could take a while. |

Relegation from Premier for this season was determined at the end of last season. It has now become the norm for the 3 teams that come up from Championship will go straight back down from the Premiership. Yes there have been exceptions like Forest this season but even they struggled in their first season back in Premier. I'm not even bothered now if we don't beat Derby's record low number of points. As much as I love this club our current set up (Owners + coaches + players) are probably the worst in the history of the Premier Lge so if we take that record from Derby, so be it. Let's move on & make sure that we have a club to be proud of in the future. I know my comments will be controversial but that's what this forum is for " Opinions". |
 | Forum Reply | Could Saints Throw In A Promising Youngster To The Attack at 16:51 31 Mar 2025
Give some of the youngsters a go, at least they would add a bit of enthusiasm into a very dejected outfit. I thought Robinson looked half useful pre season & was hoping he'd get a chance. Why not, we have absolutely nothing to lose by blooding some youngsters, it would at least give us an idea to see if they could help out in Championship next season. |
 | Forum Thread | One that got away . Anton Robinson at 09:15 24 Mar 2025
England missed out on a natural quality left back. Anton Robinson of Fulham was born in England but chose to play for USA. He is in my opinion the best left back in the Premier lge. I know it's only my opinion but he really does look a good player. [Post edited 24 Mar 9:15]

 | Forum Reply | Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? at 09:09 24 Mar 2025
Quite right. The incentive for both Players + Managers (now called coaches) is to fail. Get yourself a nice long contract then do nothing but underachieve for the remainder of your contract or better still get moved on with your contract paid up & walk (yes walk, can't expect a player to run) into another club with a similar contract. Then they complain about the pressure of being a Professional footballer (eg. Marcus Rashford & many others). |

I remember watching Wimbledon warm up before a game at the Dell. The Brass Band were doing their usual March around the pitch when Vinnie Jones decided to target the Big Bass Drum player. Vinnie in the middle of the pitch lined up the poor fella with the drum & hit straight on the back of the head with tha ball. That was when we had characters in football, very entertaining ( but not if you were the big bass drum player). |

I understand that point about a % of the ball being on the quadrant line. But I have seen some corners taken when the whole of the ball was very obviously outside the quadrant. Don't suppose it makes much difference but it's just an observation. Also what about keepers carrying the ball outside the box before they kick / release it, that should be picked up as handball. I remember at the Dell the crowd were so close to the pitch that players were not able to have a proper run up to the ball to take corners. |
