 | Forum Thread | Watching England is so painful. at 14:40 8 Jun 2025
England's performance against Andorra was just so embarrassing & painful to watch. But so good that Thomas Tuchel had the bottle to say it as it was after the game. He made it very clear that it just not good enough. Where has the passion & energy gone from our National team. |

Good point. Apart getting a top job at a Top Club what has Jason Wilcox achieved since he left City. Absolutely nothing. |

If it's cheaper than our Youth Academy then why do we persist with our Youth Academy which costs a fortune and recently produces very little. ( I know you're going to throw in Tyler Dibling, but it still remains to be seen if he's any good or just a flash in the pan). We should be concentrating on strengthening our first team & bringing in players that improve our squad instead of spending time / effort & money buying unknown players that we never see playing for our club. What a nonsense. Signing players & loaning straight out, I don't get it. This Multi Club ownership should not be allowed by the FA, it's killing our club. Joshua Quarshie said he was really looking forward to playing for us. I know it's only a rumour so far that he's being shipped out to Turkey, but there's no smoke without fire & we all know that SR do such daft things. They should not be involved with football clubs, their model of multi club ownership does not benefit anyone. |

Your assuming that Will Still will be the decision maker with players in & players out. It doesn't always work that way, sometimes the manager has to work with the players they are given & have no input into who comes & who goes. |

Agreed. Forget about bringing old ex players back. The club needs freshening up with new hungry ambitious players. I'm not suggesting that we should sign all young players, particularly goalkeepers. Inexperienced young goalies will cost us goals & crucial points. But there must be a goalkeeper in mid twenties that we could get in that is better than what we have. |

Bringing Forster back would be a retrograde step. We new fresh new faces. I'm sure there's keepers that would jump at the chance of joining us in Championship. Will Still needs to be trusted to assess what he needs & SR must back his judgement. It's got to be a New Era for the club otherwise we'll just be stuck in the Russell Martin mould. |

KWP has been a good servant to the club & played his part under so many different coaches. I wish him well if he does move on but who knows he could still be with us next season. There's been a lot of hype about him moving on in every transfer window since he's been here but no-one has been prepared to pay for him, now he's a free agent it's probable that a Premier Club might take him despite his limitations defensively. He could find himself just a fringe player if he moves. |

It's a toss up between Shea Charles & Will Smallbone then I'd take Shea any time. He's physically stronger, better defensively, can make a tackle, he's more disciplined & he's younger. Keep Shea & let Will Smallbone go, Stoke would take him back I'm sure. |

Bottom line is :- He's better than what we've got so get him back & keep him. He's young & can only get better. [Post edited 29 May 22:01]

Apparently this guy is going straight into the first team squad. He's 6' 4" & quicker than Sulemana. There's no mention of him being able to defend which is quite helpful when you're a Ctr Back. |

He'll probably replace the young fast talented German ctr back that we already have that's never used. (ABK). |

Looks like we're signing a big young fast central German defender named Joshua Quarshie. I panicked when I heard this I thought were were bringing back a 46 year old Nigel Quasie. Who remembers him he'd been relegated more times than Aaron Ramsdale. |

That tells you something about the managers we've had this season. None of them had any idea of what was required to play in the Premier Lge. Charlie Taylor is a proven player at that level unlike most of our squad. What surprised me yesterday was that Charlie Taylor managed to play 90mins without getting cramp & that's after having not played for 6months or more. That's the sign of a good pro, he's obviously worked hard on keeping his fitness. He should be a shoe in for next season. |

If the family have that much money then why would they be stupid enough to waste any of it on our club. It's one thing being a supporter it's another thing being an owner of a football club. Rishi's wife is far to shrewd to get involved. |

No Bednarek. No Stephen's. Ño KWP. No THB Taylor back from the wilderness. Really freshened up the line up, case of having to with players unfit & some moving on. But I actually like the look of this side today but it will be a challenge against these Gunners. |
