Only Sports Republic could spend millions on four totally inept forwards

Still need to give Downs time, BUT, point is still true, wouldn't it be lovely to have signed someone ready to bang some goals in ...

Portsmouth Fans Not Happy With Travel And Match Ticket Prices For Trip To Southa

If that's true, I'm disappointed in our club. Rivalry and business models aside, it's an expensive hobby for most people and a shame that didn't happen.

So I'm taking my nipper to this, his first proper rivalry meeting ... I have warned my other half that he might learn some new words ........

Spot on. The country is a burden to itself, we look after people better, we treat people better and the NHS is still amazing, so of course we live longer because we are more aware of symptoms earlier, treated better (whether NHS or private) and therefore live longer.

So by helping ourselves to have such a great life expectancy we therefore shot ourselves in the foot with state pensions. It'll only get "worse" (if that's the right word) as the Gen Z, Gen A bunch are not drinking, not smoking (good!) and even more aware and medicinal advances get better and better.

But today's 65 year olds are a damn site more healthy and flexible than the 65 year olds I remember from the 1980s (and even 90s) - so working longer anyway.

To be honest, if I'm in good shape at that age I'd like to still be working too - maybe "semi retired", but I'd like the mental stimulation still ... he says at 49 so that view maybe subject to change ...

I do agree that forcing a £22.50 charge to use the coach they HAVE to use is sh*t.

Oh I agree, I dislike stripes massively - some of our best kits as you say, are stripeless.

But in terms of stripes, this lot are 'decent' :)

“Ginger Will Still’s Red and White Army”

No one actually sings "red and white army" though do they? For years it's just a noise that sounds like "revvo army" ... unless the Northam Wall has improved the quality of the enunciation?

Tyler Dibling Situation Not Good
at 09:15 14 Jul 2025

Agree with all this!

I think the club are probably asking too much for Dibling. Personally I would sell lower and agree a huge sell on fee, because then surely if he does amount to something amazing and I (and others) are wrong, then we'll still get a benefit?? I know it's. not that simple, but ...

yes, I'd rather we spent everything we could to keep Fernandes and get Robinson playing (I liked what I saw there).

Lighthearted music thread

1. First record you bought with your own money?
- Honestly can't remember, early 1980s - I think it was the Superman song?

2. First gig you went to that you paid for?
- Prodigy in Brighton in 1993

3. Best gig ever?
- Bit random, but Moby at Knebworth. He was a supporting act, but the sun was setting behind the stage and it was just "right"

4. Have you ever left a gig because the artist/band was not up to it?
- Elbow at V Festival, I went home, boring

5. Present favourite band/song
- Don't really have one anymore, I just listen to whatever dance music comes on in the car

6. I would never go to see XXX because?
- No idea what XXX are? Is that my answer? "Because I don't know who they are?"

I'm not THAT into music.

Still seems nervous to me
at 15:39 1 Jul 2025

Agreed! Half full brigade.

Still is analytical and calculating. He's watching, judging, assessing. Of course he's not going to be hugging everyone and shouting OTT messages to "Rhino" and "Tay Tay" ...

I'm excited for this season, genuinely. If it's rubbish, then we go again, but I feel things are heading in the right direction this time.

Absolutely awful this year. !975, shit. Charlie XCVIIIMCX (or whatever), dreadful talentless trollop. Neil Young, fk me, who wants to see a 79 year play that tripe?

I did however enjoy Pulp.

Sorry, it's awful this year.
