Great post but think its disingenuous to suggest not selling Dieng, Dickie and Willock was down to Les when he's said it was the owners decision.

Taylor Richards gone…thank god.

Laird went from looking like the best right back since the Bard to the most disengaged footballer since Zaha at Man Utd. As bad as Richards in some ways.

3G artificial pitches

I grew up playing on the rubber pitch under Grenfell that's now the Aldridge academy.

While the EU has set a legally binding limit of 20mg/kg for PAHs, the UK government rejected this as unnecessary because it argued most rubber crumb was already below this level. Instead, a voluntary limit of 20mg/kg was introduced by the industry body, the Sports and Play Construction Association.

Yeah, voluntary standards overseen by a trade body should work.

He changed the game when he came on and I honestly didn't think he had that about him. Happy to be proven wrong.

I wouldn't have paid nearly £3m for him but if he ends up being one of the best players in the league and we sell him for a big profit I'll be even happier to be wrong.

I suffered nerve damage whenever the ball was near Tony Roberts so I want paying out too.

Coventry City 7 Queens Park Rangers 1 – Report
at 20:47 25 Aug 2025

In the words of Peter Mannion it's like opening a door to a room where everyone tells you how shit you are. Fùcking cesspit.

Excellent report Jamie. Whenever we're on the end of this type of gob-bumming (and we'll have 3 or 4 a season) I try and write a draft match report to see how my view stacks up with Clive's or guests like your good self. I got no further than a paragraph here, almost every other word was an expletive and would have certainly resulted in this site being age-gated. Fair play to you.

World's most meaningless consolation goals: QPR 1st & 2nd?
at 14:53 24 Aug 2025

If the Cisse goal was the one in the 6-1, it was far from meaningless to me as I still have the small comfort of the 6-0 win to rub their bovine faces in.

I don't think that was what was said. If there's ever an opportunity to write a definitive paper on how not to run a football club, QPR (Malaysia Remix) will feature heavily.

Very little profit on the Samba transfers if any. Unscientifically I'd say Eze's brought in more net profit than all of our previous transfers combined.

Might be difficult to determine an exact breakdown of what's come from where if we get £10m for Madsen though.

Not unexpected, but Palace have played a blinder here as well - set a price, let the player and their agent know they'd stick to it, and then stuck to it while ignoring fùckries from "bigger" clubs. Did the same with Olise and Guehi.

Anyone see the penalty Leeds got?

Being QPR, we'd go for the sĥit data-driven option and end up with a back four of comically-inflating animals like pufferfish, hooded seals and African tree frogs.

CEO Christian Nourry said: "Puffy was identified by targeted analysis and processed via data screen, video and live scouting screen, the deal-making reality and my perspective. His/her unique physiological profile exceeds our 90th percentile stochastic model algorithm. Beep. Whirr."

Injuries......
at 14:06 19 Aug 2025

Have they though? I remember lots of frustration about this around the time Cook got injured as we had no idea what was wrong, how long he'd be out and if/when Morrison/JCS would be available. We got an update for Cook and many (myself included) saw this as a positive sign the club was listening and reacting positively.

Since then, I'm not so sure.

Yep. Lyon threw their toys out of the pram with West Ham about a move for Benrahma. West Ham said something about "the dog ate my homework"

It might look impressive in a 70,000 seater gegenstäden but less so at HQ. We might need to update the restricted view tickets to say "50% girder/50% smoke"

On the subject of jazzing things up, I remember there being a few experiments with dry ice at the Hammersmith Palais during the 90s. One night whoever was in charge of distribution either forgot or flat out didn't give a fùck that you're only supposed to discharge in 20-30 second bursts and let the entire stockpile go in a demented 7 minute blast. It was like the last days of Pompeii with people dancing into walls and knocking themselves out, tripping over those fùcking shin-height tables or falling down stairs they didn't realise were there. On the plus side you couldn't see what you were snogging so every cloud and all that...

QPR Criticized For Messing Around German Club
at 09:17 17 Aug 2025

And would you not say that this is partly a problem of our own making?

In issuing a statement, Shalke have got their spin on events into play. By not responding, QPR have allowed Shalke's version of events to stand unchallenged and therefore gain a patina of veracity.

I can't see we've done anything improper here but a simple statement along the lines of "we decided this transfer was not in the club's interests" would have communicated our position perfectly.

It's fine having a blanket policy of "the first rule of transfer club is we do not talk about transfer club" but it can't cover scenarios like this (e.g. some mental Teutonic 2nd-hand car dealer flinging shìt at you in public). We might or might not have acted correctly on the transfer (and I don't really care) but we've almost certainly coçked up the comms. Again.
