It was terrible. Criticise it for being terrible absolutely but people seem to have a problem with women’s football in general and find any excuse to put it down. Also comparing it to the men’s game. It’s completely different as is non league football compared to the Premier league. My main point is the women’s game is refreshing in the absence of the constant cheating we see in the Premier League. It has a degree of honesty that the overpaid whining shite houses in the men’s game should learn from.
For all its faults it was far more entertaining that watching Saints in the last 18 months. I actually saw a few forward passes and a few crosses into the box.
I seem to recall England men’s team losing penalty shoot outs all the time. Beckham Waddle Southgate and loads of others bottled it. At least the women have actually won something.
You said England never look like scoring. They have scored 2.
The game is a bit frantic at times but it’s a lot more exciting than watching Saints last season. At least they get the ball forward and into the box. The other positive is the absence of shithousery. No pulling hair (note Jack) or feigning injuries to waste time. I haven’t watched much of this tournament but have enjoyed the game tonight. It’s a honest game of football without the over paid cheating divas in the Premier League. Looking like going to penalties.
The pundit at half time is terrible. Like Vicky Pollard on speed.
Stop spending vasts amounts of money on armed forces. We are no longer a super power with an ability to police or fund wars around the world. We need to get the UK working again and invest here to provide proper jobs and get the welfare bill down.
It’s not hugely costly but reduce the number of MPs get rid of the Lords and cut the civil list right down. And tax absent landlords. And anyone doing business here needs to pay tax.
How do you get productivity improvements in the NHS ? It cares for sick people. The UK has an aging population and there have been massive advances in medicine and treatment options available. Its future looks increasingly challenging as people live longer . You are just spouting nonsense management talk. Sick people are not products. The basic premise is if you want free healthcare then the Govt will have to fund it through tax increases. Unless you support Farage who has made it quite clear what he thinks of the NHS.
1. The Clash The Clash 2. Steve Hillage / Gong 3. Springsteen - both times 4. John Martyn - more he left as was too pissed 5, Haven’t got one 6. Robbie Williams - he’s just a fat dancer
Yes thought Ezra Collective were great. Enjoying Neil Young but I’m a fan from way back.
Labour through the idiot Culture Secretary have complained about Bob Vylan and Kneecap and now the police are investigating comments made on the stage. It beggars belief. At least they can relax tomorrow we have Rod Stewart who’s a Farage fan.
Being an old fart from the patchouli Afghan coat era I’ve enjoyed Alanis Morrisette and John Fogerty and looking forward to Neil Young. The modern stuff is mainly throwaway shite churned out from the pop factory no one will remember in future years. Nice to see people having fun though and feck Starmer for trying to get Kneecap banned. Twot that he is.
The rest of history podcasts on the Titanic are well worth listening to. Tells the story of the ship and links to Southampton. I think 4 episodes.
As for look outs there were two but they had bad luck. It was a crystal clear night. No swell or clouds making it virtually impossible to see the iceberg before it was too late. Also had they followed protocol and hit it head on then it wouldn’t have sunk. Trying to swerve meant it acted like to giant tin opener opening up the side of the ship giving it no chance of survival.
‘None of this wouldn’t have happened were it not for the October attack’
The Palestinian people have been forced off their land. They have no rights. They cannot travel. They cannot live where they want. They are subject to daily restrictions. They cannot even grow anything or export goods without permissions from the Israeli state. Thousands are detained without trial or due process.
In 1900 what is now Israel was 95 per cent Arab. They are now restricted to a tiny part of land in Gaza and the West Bank. If you forcefully remove people from their homeland then subject them to an apartheid regime it will inevitably end with war and the type of atrocities we see and will continue to see.
If you are a thief in Saudi they chop off your hand. Second offence they will chop the other one off. If caught again bizarrely you get a slap on the wrists.
