About 10,000 apparently. It did seem incredibly low. |

They are having a charity collection in the AC Lounge for Katherine, who recently gave birth to a baby with cystic fibrosis. Charity raffle with prizes donated by the Plough & Harrow in Murton. They are hoping to raise £1,000. The staff in the lounge seem to have more business sense than the commercial department! |

Not just more fixtures, but the quarter-final would have been on Tuesday 16th December. We would have played them on the Friday, their 4th game in 10 days; Wed, sat, Tue and Friday night. Unfortunately they'll now get a rest before the Swans (while we play a quarter-final). |

Vig was awful again last Saturday. nailed to the goal line for their goal, then he comes forward, then he dithers, then he comes forward when it'd too late. A great stopper which looks good, but he must start dominating the box and 6-yard area in particular. |

Full back is a difficult one. Plenty of people thought that Galbraith at full back in place of Josh Key would be the answer. Those at the QPR game quickly realised that it wasn't. When Parker stepped up to the plate, he was found wanting. By a strange twist of fate, most of our best attacks have been down the left flank, attacking the opposition right back. Maybe it's just a difficult position! |

A win of any shape, form or description was the priority yesterday. We'll take the 3 points and climb to mid table Sometimes winning ugly is what is needed. It's not a formula for long term success, but sometimes any win will do. It's 4 wins against the bottom 4 teams and a draw against 5th from bottom. I'm looking forward to the game against 6th from bottom! |

My mate made exactly this point at the match yesterday. We scored twice when we went through the middle, yet almost all of our attacks are done out wide. We should run at them more often through the middle. And shoot!!! |

Lee Trundle was talking after the game and said he was pleased with how we closed out the game, talking it into the corner for repeated touch, corner and free kick awards. He said that's exactly how you should close out a game. I didn't think it was right when watching it live, but I'll bow to his superior knowledge. |

Some wonderful new songs added in today. ''There's only one greedy B******'' ''Harry, Harry, what's the score?'' Probably a few more I couldn't quite catch. |

Agreed. He battled back to win the ball to set up Vipi for his second thunderbolt. Everyone remembers Vipi's strike, yet nobody remembers who won the ball back for us in the first place. |

Only conceded 11 league goals; only 5 teams have conceded less. Admittedly the woodwork has been our best defender of late. Thee against Leicester, twice at Southampton and another against QPR. We're riding our luck. Our problem is in attack. Just one penalty to show for the whole of October so far. Only the 2 Sheffields and Blackburn are worse; ironically the 3 teams we beat. We seem frightened to shoot. |
