We are allowing them to gradually turn London into a ghost town.
Them being the cycling Stazi and their crazy mates
"Oooooooh... look at the gridlocked traffic" They scream. Well, you're shutting all the roads or putting "claming methods" in so everything is funneled into smaller areas you knobs!
I was at a Coucil thing a good few months back where the chair of Ealing Cycling Lobby was holding up Amsterdam as a great example. When I said to him that London has absolutely no similarities to the Dam as the vast majority of our urban conurbation has been there or a century or more he was perplexed. I asked him how he intended to fit trams, cars, buses and cycle lanes down the Uxbridge Road as a main link and his response was "you're not listening".
Seems the lycra loons have different laws of physics
Just found my copies of these two as I have a "tidy up" AKA "working from home". It's been a really shit week so these two gave me a right grin casting my mind back to great days
I think you’ll find I focused on the right person/people for well over a decade plus!
Called out Paladini from Day One Tango and Dwarf was suspicious of from the get go As for The Bungle Brothers I remain steadfast that they, especially Pony Tony, are the reason we’re on a slow highway to hell.
Looking back I do find my Jekyl and Hyde views on Warburton very odd
I’m sort of with Silky here….. maybe he’s making his way up to the balcony? (He’ll get that reference!!!!)
Was hugely in favour of him getting the gig, shouted for him before they appointed ODH actually Then I lost it with him. The political posturing and dogma cost us on the pitch and the first team results are absolutely the priority in any club. Heard a few things which seemed right at the time and have been confirmed as true which really turned me against him. Self centred. (I ranted at him on these ere pages but I was in a bit of a personal spot at that time so probably went a bit OTT)
The big attraction at the start for me was his business noise and acumen with him shouting loud about budget and getting a tune out of things. His mantra about first contact and all that became a pisstake but I actually agree with him on that and loads of other football related stuff.
Would I have welcome him back? Mmmmmmmmm… at the moment I’d probably welcome Iddi Amin into the fold if he’d get us a home win.
"he’s also been party to some bloody poor decisions when he was more active"
I remember.
We won the League under him and he came across as the most sensible fella in the circus in The Four Year Plan..... remember?
I've met the fella twice, very briefly, my first impressions were that he was a man I'd work for and was focused. Galaxies apart from what followed him.
Bungle was / is an absolute chancer who took a punt and somehow ended up mega rich He has zero talent or acumen I therefore wonder if Ruben is the same
I’d never get on a Fernandez plane or deal with any of his other businesses as I have zero trust or faith in them as culture is set from the top.
Amit is an odd one. I have a lot of time for him and still rue the day the dwarf and fatty stitched up the Mittal bid. I think Amit would’ve been fantastic for us. His recent actions seem to be him distancing himself from the club and he’s also been party to some bloody poor decisions when he was more active
I do feel like if you lent the current incumbents a tenner you’d only get buttons back
