We stayed up
The fanbase, yet again showed their sense and knowledge at the Sjoke home game; Marti responded and that hallowed 16th spot remains in focus
I went to a few games and had a few beers

When the next man is in the hot seat you’ll be pulling apart his pre and post match interviews and beating yourself up about them
It’s not healthy
I think you’re expecting someone to straight talk and go balls out on the squad
Handy hint…. That’s not how football works and nobody in the position of head coach is going to come out and publicly state that his players are shite and the clubs a mess.

It seems to me that for the last decade or more there’s always something relevant to our last home game.
We’ve had various away clubs celebrating titles or promotions; obviously ourselves under King Warnock.
Then it’s been us securing survival or ensuring we stay alive until the last game.
In between we rejoice at getting our hands on The Sixteenth Place Trophy
Hoping we don’t add Burnley’s title to the list today (although I know it wouldn’t be confirmed) |

I cannot believe I've read here that the Brat in charge has agreed to PAY Marti to leave in the summer?
I mean.... FFS.... I just didn't think this club could get any more mental but it keeps on proving me wrong time and time again.

Daniel Bennie 5/10 - needs to bulk up
Liam Morrison 8/10 - fantastic, needs to saty fit for the season next year
Hevertton Santos 4/10 - I'm not as down on him as some, scored a cup goal!!!
Paul Nardi 8/10 - like him
Zan Celar 2/10 - bin him off, he looks like he hates football
Jonathan Varane 7/10 - like to see him string longer runs of games next season, think he's great
Karamoko Dembele 6/10 - looked great at first, now not so sure and spent most of his time injured
Koki Saito 8.5/10 - brilliant attitude, great to watch, a little bit slight
Nicolas Madsen 0.5/10 - scored versus Lootown, nothing else to say
Harrison Ashby -4/10 - been the oppositions best player in many games, if he's back next year I wont be! |

Not overly bothered about that loss
Big concern is the position of Marti and the near future
I think he’s known for moving on after reasonably short tenures and if he departs this summer I would say that’d be a disaster. That’s my opinion from the outside looking in though.

I don’t know if he brings “other qualities” around the squad much the same as Brett Angel apparently did. Maybe that’ll have some bearing
I don’t rate him.
Too often he disappears under the ball from judging long punts which surely has to be CB championship clogger standard fayre? As documented he has zero pace and doesn’t off a goal threat from corners

I’m sort of wavering (again) on renewing a season ticket after a few years oh hiatus following 33 years of having one.
If there’s a chance of Ashby being here next season then it’s a cross in the “nah, leave it” column. |

I think at this level it’s always advisable to start with 11 players rather than 8 and a half
If you added up Ashby, Anderson and Madsen together you’d possibly, possibly get half a player.
My other reflection is that Yang hasn’t got a defensive bone in his body
Quite like him going forward but if he’s going to be in the side it needs to be set up accordingly
I was surprised Frey didn’t start but Kolli did okay at a thankless task
Classic refereeing
The one where Yang gets a foot in the chest and the fella who did it goes to ground and screams so ref gives him a free kick a particular low point
All eyes on Lootown and Cardiv now it’s the only entertainment left |

Said at the time it was a shame the ref didn’t book him as he hen there’s no recourse
Clear punch to the ribs but both at it.
Very petty IMHO
However, it’s another plus for Smudge in my book
I love that he’s one for dark arts whilst looking angelic at the same time
