 | Forum Reply | Millwall deliver QPR’s latest reality check – Report at 20:53 20 Oct 2025
Great Report. 'To put Frey and Kone together again against anybody, and expect a different result, was the definition of footballing madness'...insanity. On Kolli: Loved those comments!! His cameo at Bristol was a difference maker. He certainly should be seeing more game time if healthy. On Burrell: Does his (ghastly) first touch add to his potency? It just seems to sucker defenders, only to see him beat them. On Vale: He works best when the proposed recipient to his passes can run. Ultimately, I agree. We are exactly easier on the eyes than QPR teams of recent past. Even if occasionally insane. |

Vale teams with Rumarm well. So that was off. Cook was where I saw the biggest weakness. Once he wore down their speed opened up opportunities. With Mbengue on that changed. Ultimately I think we saw Mbengue as a key man in the back, and Rumarms speed is also a big difference maker. |

...Nicolas Madsen is top of the QPR squad for ball recoveries and chances created. He’s also won more ground duels than any other QPR player and is third behind Varane and Cook for aerial duels won... Surely he must score tomorrow. |

I enjoyed the game too. I thought Ryan Manning played well and with some better management could have brought more offense on that side of the pitch. |

Glass half empty. In our 1st 3 games no Kone. That could extrapololate to 5 points lost. Coventry look beastly right now (GD of 20 after 8 games). Our result though ghastly, is not too unlike the pounds of flesh Ex-prem Sheff Utd and Millwall just gave up. More: Stephan is still experimenting. As noted Cook is a great player to have but Mbengue's speed and force make him the better option. Dembele is a dribbler-nothing more. Varane has impressed me since day-1. There are improvements to make and I think Kieran could take over as RB. [Post edited 6 Oct 21:41]

My opinion. With Poku coming in with Kone and Saito he is surplus. Hopefully, he has a good market and can fetch a fee. Ultimately I see Saito and Poku filling the same role with more upside. |

see it differently... BBB was worse than ever. He ran past our 2 fastest guys more than once. Marking him would be pointless. Keeping the ball away would be great. [Post edited 29 Sep 22:44]

YES!!! And I think that where we are heading. A really skill ball carrying MF who can take the ball into the options box or attack the wings. And track back. The Chair (as a 10) experiment has not had consistent results compared to his output as the LW. [Post edited 17 Sep 17:25]

The things you find on LFW. I've hit the 60 mark and i look forward to rest, travel and many QPR games. |

Following the conversation. I thought, like others we were short a midfielder. I think Wrecks got more opportunities as Varane was pretty much the only protection for Liam and Diakite. I would like to see Isaac tried beside Varane. I willl plug for Nardi here also. I thought his distribution stood out. As for Burrell, I am still trying to find a way for him to get credit for that first goal. |

Echo this. I see Kieran slowly being grown into that spot. That said he could also get Madsens spot. Another thought, Field could get moved as a valuable player in someone else’s eyes. If he is to be behind Varane, Hayden, Nico, Morgan then he could help balance books. |

And exactly on that note, I like Saito to fill that role in the middle behind the strikers. He is less apt to be muscled off the ball ( #Dembele) and hasty speed and footwork to make tings happen. He is also very improved defensively. And in this role he can (ala Ilias) drift on to the wings. I think such move will also transform the entire front line. |

Dropped for no other reason. - I suspect contract clauses and incentives have CN trying to move Nardi. Like most I think a season long loan for Joe might be best. |
