Beat me to it. Southampton have a set back 4, same guys as last years (Walker-Peters/Stephens/Bednarek, Manning). Southampton will get parachute allowance but might still have to sell. Also- Dunne, Colback, Paal, Michy, Fox, & Andersen are all not very likely to be back. This also could lead to selling Kelman... who could be a very highly marketable asset right now. A 20+ goal scorer who has played well against good competition. [Post edited 14 Apr 23:02]

My 2cents- Marti has been looking for players to step into that role of moving that ball from box-to box. I think KD was that guy prior to injury, after trying Andersen and Mads. Then he tried Chair. Dembele showed why he should/could be that guy with the run and perfect pass. |

Directly on that note. 1. Bennie has been in the 1st team all year, but I do think Sutton or Petrie should be getting a look now that we have significant pressure lifted. As exhibited again, fresh youthful legs applying pressure is the 1st objective, a little ability to take a shot is 2nd. What we don't need is giving the ball away in our half. Sorry to lose Field though. But happy Saito will be back. |

Absolutely adore this thread. His presence has been difference period. His highlight reel really stands out in comparison to the other attackers, Michy included. Reference this thread i agree. https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1269136525?-294:802 I would love to see a full season of him, but realistically it is unlikely. |

thanks for those links. Great goals both of them. If this was anybody else's asset we should be clamoring to get him. |

My point of view also. add that more game time, goals etc might increase proposed value. |

so far no comments on what i thought was one of the MOST interesting points made, in short...why not simply park the bus. The defensive 8 on this team are pretty good. its the scoring piece we cant do. 1. Ala Harry Maguire..I still think Ashby at RB, Ronnie as 3rd CB and 3 DMF (Varane, Colback, Field) ..with Dunne imitating Frey could be an entertaining experiment. |

Lots of interesting questions. Edwards reprising his Dm role. Morison- the undefeated, in for Cook. Varane back letting Colback advance? The biggest loss is Saito…can Yang go to the left ? |

This. We have hit the bonus when sending our kids out on loan and bringing them back as confident contributors. Those same 3 were not getting a good look before those loans. Kelman could well be a missing piece as we look to advance given this career changing loan spell. |

The debate on Goalkeepers started here deserves another thread. Especially considering that with Begovic, Marshall and Westwood (plus Seny playing for Senegal) we had 3 international keepers in a relatively short span. Brings to mind other conversations on the board about our present, ever present keeper. |

Jimmy entered the game in the 74th minute replacing Evan Ferguson.... |
