Finished Saints 1 Real Madrid 1 - there’s a sentence I never thought I’d by typing on this forum!! OK, I know, I left out the U/21 bit, but what the hell 🙂
All the best 901, I sincerely hope you can work through things and return to the forum once you are in a better place.
A good friend of mine listens to a lot of music to help with his moods, he recommends Radio 3 Unwind - maybe there will be something of benefit to you on there? Have a look and see what you think.
Lose against Preston and in the best traditions of Graham Taylor the Echo can put a picture on their back page of Still’s head superimposed onto a pumpkin!
Right back where we started with Gao then, another so called billionaire in charge without a pot to pee in!
Whilst I felt a bit sorry for Gao in the first instance as just after he took over the reigns at SFC the Chinese government threw a complete curve ball at him and other wealthy businessmen who wanted to invest their wealth overseas by freeing their assets and restricting them to spending it in China only thus starving him of the money he wanted to invest in SFC, Solak seems to have shot himself in the foot by picking the wrong people to involve in his core business - poor decision making on his part, sound familiar? Hope he finds a buyer for 100% of SFC and takes the rest of the SR clowns with him to Goztepe.
Or bring back Nigel Adkins? He led us to two successive promotions and still loves the Club.
You could sell tickets for Mick McCarthy meeting Ankersen - never mind embracing failure, Ankersen would end up embracing his laptop shoved somewhere the sun does not shine!
10 years ago we would beat Arsenal 4-0 at home on Boxing Day, then go on to beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford with a late Charlie Austin goal. Later in the season we would come from 0-2 down to beat Liverpool at SMS and then on May 1st the team gave us a brilliant Cup Final 76 anniversary present by tanking the blue half of Manchester 4-2 at SMS. Results 10 years on we can only dream of under the clowns who currently run our club. We finished the season 6th in the PL with a record for us of 63 points.
As someone else said in another thread, it’s not how far we have fallen that is the main worry, it’s how much further we have to fall under the totally incompetent ownership of Sport Republic.
And in the recent England U21 games he was subbed off against Moldova after 68 mins then was only a sub against Andorra coming on for the last 23 mins, so it’s not just Everton.
As Grumpy has said, he’s still only 19 but given his ability I’d had thought he’d be a mainstay at U21 level. Still a long way to go for him but I can’t help thinking he’d have been better off listening to his parents rather than his new agent who I am sure had lining his own pockets way ahead of the player’s best interests when prising him away from SFC.
Good luck to you - if the Chapel threw tennis balls onto the pitch I can just see a couple of happy clappers near the front going onto the pitch with the plastic bag they brought their flask and sandwiches in picking the balls up for their dogs to play with down the park!
Agreed SW - and in any event, as a large proportion of our seats are pre-sold to ST holders, they already have our money in their bank account.
To get a message across: Don’t use The Dell bar Don’t use the fanzones Don’t use Level 1 Don’t buy programmes Don’t buy the overpriced food and drink inside the ground Don’t go in the club shop or buy merchandise online
I sincerely hope the pre-match protest is a success and draws a far larger crowd than 100 people as a small gathering could just be dismissed by the clowns as a small minority of troublmakers.
What I would like to see is a huge vocal protest aimed at SR inside the ground. For example, the whole of the Northam singing Sport Republic 🤬 off out of our club. The board certainly seem to have got the message regarding Martin during the Spurs game when the mood got ugly. Obviously they will be harder to shift than Martin but it would be a start.
I know Nick has said in the past that protests during a game don’t help the team but I think we have reached a tipping point where put quite simply enough is enough so something needs to be done to get a strong message across to the clowns running our beloved club.
That perfectly sums up our club under the oafs that are Sport Republic.
Prioritising turning SMS into a funfair surrounded by gulags and a pub above the need to buy a proven goal scorer and employ a manager with the requisite experience not one hopelessly out of their depth having only experienced football through playing video games - actually, the perfect manager for Level 1, not the first team!
11 years ago, on Oct18th to be precise, we beat Sunderland 8-0, eleven years on Sunderland go 2nd in the PL having just beaten Chelsea in their own back yard. They have racked up one and a half times the number of points we amassed all of last season in a quarter of the games! Yet, according to the ex-hoover salesman Parsons, promoted clubs can’t compete in the PL.
To put it bluntly, Sport Republic, f@@@ off out of our club
Sheffield Wednesday Administrator gives first interview to Sky Sports (see link below) - refreshing to see a straight talking, no nonsense guy give proper answers to the questions asked. The points deduction aside, it sounds like a good day to be a Wednesday fan as they are at last rid of the idiot running the Club that has driven it into the ground. The fact that, this afternoon, they are letting the staff move the different coloured seats around in one of the stands to obliterate the spelling of Chansiri’s name did make me smile.
Yes, they did show it, the commentators were surprised he got away with it too. He was only on a 7 day contract although they said it might be able to be extended - had he been sent off he’d could well have been out of contract by the time he’d served his suspension!
Maybe this alternative highlights link will work for you
The SR clowns should take note - this is what happens when the idiot owners of a club push the fans too far...
Just watched the Football League highlights and was shocked to see the swathes of empty seats at Hillsborough tonight (see link to highlights below).
The unacceptable way the prat the owns SW has been running the club are well documented but it appears enough is enough for most who voted with their feet earlier this evening. As I have said, SR muppets take note!
Only just started using Uber, are you saying if you don’t tip then you get lower ratings?? Then what happens, drivers won’t accept the ride when you need to go somewhere?? All new to me at the moment as I have just given up driving because my eyesight isn’t what it was and I have no intention of carrying on and potentially injuring someone or worse!
