Wasn't that basically the HMV logo? Did I make that up? |

Think he probably tops out at 7 or 8 this year but that's ok, there's so much more to his game than that and he gives us a totally different dimension. Had fairly low expectations and he's already blown them out of the water. Terrific signing. |

Great header and agree. Given that Smyth has a tendency to hit the deck from anything stronger than a whisper in the ear, probably fair to say if it had been the other way round he'd have been screaming for a peno though! |

It's not exactly accurate but let's take the 20 premier league clubs and assume they have 15 players per year group. If you're lucky, you might average one a year per team breaking through and that feels aggressive. That's still 280 players, each year, that are in way better academies than our own and don't make it just from premier league clubs, a bunch of whom will try their chance in the lower leagues. It's definitely competitive out there. |

If you had told me that after the Coventry game I'd have thought you were gone in the head |

"Also, worth noting that if we were to win by scoring 7 goals we would also end the day as the Championships joint top goal scorers and with 8 or more we would be in first place for goals scored." I mean sure, technically. Quite a big "If" that one though! Interestingly for anyone worried that AI is about to take your job it still has a way to go. Google's "AI overview" informed me that the last time we scored 7 goals was May 2020 against Brentford where we scored all the goals in the last 25 minutes. Of course, that was actually 80 years earlier and the article was just published in May 2020, but still counts right? |

Everyone should try Malort once. Nobody should try it twice. The single least describable and least pleasant thing I've ever tasted. We went to watch a QPR Villa game with the Villa Chicago crew about a decade ago, those psychopaths did a shot of it every time they scored. |

Oh, oh, I know this one! Second post here is spot on, not a ton to add Kingston Mines rec is good, that's in Lincoln Park which is a lovely place to visit, there's a decent free zoo there too, you can head to the beach if that's your thing and easily get to Wrigleyville (about a 30 minute walk or short bus/"el" ride. Not sure if the Alfred Caldwell lily pond is still there but thats a nice (also free) albeit small hidden gem right next to the zoo in Lincoln Park and there's a butterfly museum too Evanston is nice but wouldn't recommend coming up to northwestern game on the Saturday, that lakefront stadium is cool but super small and I think it'll be fully sold out. On public transport you have three options:. The metra - trains from ogilvie or Union station (don't get mixed up) which are stupidly cheap and you can get a ride out to the suburbs, if that's your sort of thing. The "el" - elevated trains, but basically a low end equivalent of the tube. Buses - primarily act on a grid system which is handy in terms of navigation Gibsons is a decent steakhouse but Chicago is filled with them, downtown especially, you'll be spoilt for choice. If you want a burger au cheval is my go to. Pequods for deep dish pizza. Edit: unbelievably, I forgot to recommend "the bean", which is in my avatar. We're QPR, we are always just around the corner from a ridiculous run of form. The question is will it be good or bad? |

If you stop people hearing what you don't want them to you control the narrative. Of course if that gets out, you have to stop those people too. And then the ones that report on them. And then you're North Korea. Ultimately the truth always outs in the end, but there's this weird sense that super rich people have that they can somehow outrun it. It's like Chansiri is doing, bllshitting his way through, it catches up to you eventually. |
