Thought he was our best player in first half of season. Faded somewhat second half but still a good keeper and the goods outweigh the bads. Perfectly fine championship keeper IMO |

I'd imagine they'll be fine. Both are players who would expect a captain to lead by example and set a good standard for behavior, whether it's them or someone else. They'll respect that Jimmy has that approach. It's not like when adel was made captain. |

I didn't hate the pink one as much as most people, got my daughter over the line in being a QPR fan that she was allowed to wear a pink shirt. Better than that green and yellow one or the green and black hoops.
Once a decade is just fine though thanks. |

"club ambassador" is usually a dismissive term thrown around for popular ex players to make it seem like they're still associated with the club and maybe occasionally wheel them out for a PR event.
Sinton really embodies what they SHOULD be. He's involved with so many little things that he doesn't necessarily need to be and his love and enthusiasm for the club comes through every time someone puts a microphone near him, especially in a live game. My favorite player growing up and I couldn't be happier with the way he's embraced this role at QPR. |

I spend at least 6 hours a day in virtual meetings my calendar is an absolute mess. Work gets done in the evenings or in the hour I have where the East coast is done for the day but Central time zone still has another hour. It's horrible and unhealthy. |

I get the idea in theory. Barcelona in the 2010s being a great example. You have a set of principles that everyone aligns to, emphasis on retaining possession, movement etc. Everyone at the club from the age of 8 starts playing that way so that when they break into the first team it's seamless. That's a very attractive model.
It does get somewhat broken by the idea that QPR haven't exactly been a conveyor belt of talent from the youth academy and what 98% (?) of our appearances over the last decade have been from people we've signed from other teams, so it's a bit moot. I guess the same idea is that we (should) only hire managers who have similar philosophies to each other in terms of the way they want their teams to play, so you don't have a new guy coming in thinking "fck this lot I need a bunch of players with different skill sets"
Which of course in true QPR fashion, we've yoyo'd back and forth on over the years and has been a major source of our problems, including financial
So I kind of get it, but I'm just not convinced that it works here. And to your point it should be the principles, rather than the specific formation. |

In my younger days when I was about 20 I went to apply for a passport. Was asked if I needed a kids passport or an adult one. Then annoyed at how the day had gone I decided to treat myself in HMV to a video and was asked if I had ID showing I was 15!

I'd love a nice relaxing mid table finish and *gasp* perhaps a cup run. And a proper mid table finish, not one of these QPR ones where we go on a run of 10 games without a win and then rattle off 6 wins on the bounce. |

Don't agree with this being something which happens. The American closed loop system works (and it does) because it encourages parity due to the draft system. That in turn works because if you want to play a sport at the highest level, you play in that league and are restricted to their rules. Everyone goes into a central draft, worst team gets the best player. Ironically the people that would benefit from this closed loop - Man City, Liverpool etc would be the ones preventing it. Can you imagine a world where Man City have the best player in the country in their youth team and say "sure, he can join Burnley". Or Chelsea's puppy farm giving some of their players up?
I love the American sports system, love the parity. But I also love the old school promotion and relegation and the fact that more than just 30 teams have huge followings. The fact it's different it's what is making it interesting to them, I don't think they're going to kill the golden goose (deliberately, they'll still ruin it accidentally) |

Nope but they often interview the head coach while the game is going on especially basketball. Crazy, the head coach is compelled to speak to media instead of watching his team play. And they wonder why the coaches are giving the shortest possible answer... |

I don't think it's a lack of feel for the game I think it's what the "audience" wants.
The international audience cares more about this as a form of entertainment than a game of football. Which is a shame for the rest of us. |

He does. But the fact that he has taken the time to phrase that carefully in order to get around the fact that we brought in developed and sold Eze on Les' watch tells me he's more interested in scoring points on a technicality than actually debating the merits of how well they did their respective jobs. |
