Not early to say but early signs suggest more good than bad on the transfer front which is great. "Shoestring budget" feels a bit like a stretch though. Other than the mad Harry Redknapp trolley dash this has to be one of the most expensive transfer windows in our history I'd imagine, albeit net spend is a lot more reasonable because it's offset by the Eze and Kelman money |

I can't imagine that state of mind was helped much in the second half as he slowly lumbered towards the ball and a white and blue blur rocketed past and the ball wasn't there any more |

So I was trying to think of an analogy in "the real world" here. Closest I could find was a lawyer. If you're in that field, you probably have a sense of who the best one are, unlike say accounting or whatever. There's a ton of money at stake, even more so than football. Would you ever get a situation where three or four clients all want you to represent them in a case? Would you turn up with your own "agent" to help you track down the best deal? Maybe? It's the publicness of it all that's weird to me |

Works the other way too sometimes though, 3 teams fighting for the title then a massive gap to 4th. I don't love it, they have it over here for the NFL and I feel like it makes a mockery (and sometimes the team that gets a "bye" is well out of game shape by the time they play) but I absolutely wouldn't just have top 3, that just means the last 7-8 games of the season are a complete non event for half the league. As it is at the moment it feels like with maybe 2 or 3 exceptions everyone is still playing for something with 4 games to go, even if it's a long shot. |

Is the hypothetical wife in this situation the shit he doesn't need or the bulky stuff? |

I know they are top (bottom?) but I'm a little bit surprised that Watford aren't lapping the field here |

I quite like the sound of Duracell Burrell! Certainly apt given his style of play |

Too early to know for sure obviously but I'd give it a solid B+. Going player by player we've got rid of a lot of dross and we've brought in a lot of talent I'm excited by. But there's a glaring hole at left back still which we have known about for 12+ months and I'd argue a gap in centre midfield still, though I'm hoping either Morgan or Vale can step up |

Well he did literally play a defense splitting ball for Smyth today... |

I'd suggest you read today's match thread which for the most part was very complimentary. Which it generally is when he does well. |
