Under SR our transfer record has been totally embarrassing We’ve got shot of Henrik Kraft, Solak has taken over as Chairman, bought in Johannesburg Spors who has a good track record and sacked Darren Mowbray but nothing has changed So who/where is the problem, because we’re making the same mistakes over and over |
 | Forum Thread | Sport Republic's transfer record at 16:37 24 Aug 2025
This is a list of signings made by SR since they took over. It makes depressing reading. 2022/23 Sulemana - £22m – awful signing Lavia - £10.5m – great signing if we hadn’t wasted his sell on Onuachu - £15m poor signing Bazunu - £12m – poor signing for the money Alcaraz - £12m – great signing if we’d used him properly Bella-Kotchap - £8.7m – utter disaster Mara - £11m – cr@p signing Aribo - £6m – bang average for the cost Caleta-Car - £8m – awful signing Edozie - £10m – never delivered. Another poor signing Larios - £6m – poor signing has cost us £14k/minute Orsic - £8m – awful signing Bree – Free – okay signing for the Championship Lis – Free – great signing for Goztepe Maitland-Niles (loan) – utter joke, didn’t want to be here 2023/24 Charles - £15m – good signing Stewart - £12m – complete mugging by Sunderland Manning – free – good signing Lumley – Free obviously Holgate (loan) – Waste of space Rothwell (loan) - Lazy Brooks (loan) – half decent 2024/25 Harwood-Bellis - £20m – he has to do a lot to convince me Ramsdale - £25m – great signing if we’d stayed up Flynn Downes - £18m – not convinced he’s worth that Archer - £15m – awful signing. Fernandez - £15m – by far and away SR’s best signing Brereton Diaz - £7m – dog sh**. Paid £10m too much Sugawara - £6m for a defender who can’t defend – very average Kayi Sanda - £4.2m – poor buy when we need experience not promise Wood - £3m – about right for a bang average Championship CB Edwards - £3m – we need experience not promise Welington - £3.2m – okay signing for the price Fraser – Free – good signing. I warmed to him when he fell out with Martin Taylor – Free – not what we needed but okay as back up Lallana – Free – past it and not what we needed Matsuki – Free – the jury’s out Juan - £??? – was cr@p at Goztepe Ugochukwa (loan) – Good signing Grønbæk (Loan) - Disaster Cornet (loan) – Worse than a disaster 2025/26 Damien Downs - £7m – Looks cr@p but one for the future. Not what we needed Quarshie - £3m – good signing but we need experience not promise Roerslev – undisclosed – too early to tell but looks a half decent signing |
 | Forum Thread | Possible £42m for Dibbling? at 20:22 23 Aug 2025
In my opinion Saints are a bigger club than any of the following: Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Leicester, Sunderland, Burnley and Wolves Yet consider each club’s record signing and tell me why our record signing is spaffing £22m up the wall for Sulemana Bournemouth paid £40.2m for Evanilson Brentford paid £42m for Dango Ouattara Brighton paid £40m for Georginio Rutter Burnley paid £25m for Lesley Ugochukwu Crystal Palace paid £32m for Christian Benteke Fulham paid £34m for Emile Smith Rowe Sunderland paid £31m for Habib Diarra Wolves paid £44m for Matheus Cunha Leicester spent £40m for Youri Tielemans It’s embarrassing. Now is the time for SR to get the transfer policy right and actually buy a couple of decent players |

McCarthy - 5 Sugawara - 5 THB - 4 Wood - 2 Edwards - 3 Manning - 6 Charles - 4 Fernandez - 7 Archer - 1 Downs - 0 BBD - tw@t Taylor - 3 Downes - 4 Matsuri - 3 Fraser - 6 Armstrong - 2 This will be a good learning exercise for Still He’ll realise from this that not only are BBD and Archer 💩 they don’t give a 💩 either Downs is a long way off being a championship player if he ever gets there. He completely missed his kick in front of goal again. Even a very average championship striker would be sitting with 2 goals right now Let’s hope Sport Republic give Still the backing his potential deserves |
 | Forum Thread | Brereton Diaz at 20:58 12 Aug 2025
Should never play for us again Archer Brereton Diaz and Downs are struggling against a team who were mid table L1 last season Stewart out again We desperately need a striker |
 | Forum Thread | New signing priorities at 11:54 9 Jul 2025
What does everyone think we need? Assuming Rambo moves on and we keep Charles , Edozie and Fraser I think the minimum we need is a keeper, right back, creative midfielder and experienced quality striker (I don’t count Downs as that) If we lose Edozie we need another winger [Post edited 9 Jul 11:55]

Can somebody explain the logic of selling an up and coming winger when we have struggled so badly in that position? He's gone to Strasborg for £6m (that's £1m less than we spaffed up the wall on Brereton-Diaz) and we've lost a player who two years ago in the Championship impressed me when Martin actually showed any faith in him. I think in his handfull of sub appearances he put in more dangerous crosses than Sulemana has his entire Saints career |
 | Forum Thread | KWP at 11:26 29 May 2025
Obviously it’s been clear from probably last season he’d be off at the end of this season but I’d like to wish him well wherever he ends up A model professional who always gave 100% even though he was leaving which is a rarity in football now |
 | Forum Thread | Players who didn’t give a 💩 today at 14:14 18 May 2025
Dibbling, Kameldeen, THB, Downes and Aribo They’ll all be gone in the summer apart from possibly Downes and good riddance to all of them If everyone this season had put the commitment in that Fernandez has we’d have finished mid table. I hope we keep him |

 | Forum Thread | Players beyond criticism this season at 23:36 11 Apr 2025
There’s been some players this season who deserve to be criticised but similarly there are some that have put an effort in KWP imo is a model professional who will most likely move on and I’d wish him well wherever he went Ramsdale is another who always puts in a performance Fernandez is our best player this season and hasn’t had a bad game as far as I can recall. What I like about him is he is still giving 100% when we’re 3-0 down. I hope he stays IMO Bednarek usually puts in a decent performance and effort and you can see it hurts when we lose Manning although limited as a PL player always puts 100% in Other than those I think the rest of the players owe us some performances |

Are we going to smash Derby’s 10 point record low It’s our cup final for the season now. What an embarrassment I think if we’re going to beat it Juric must be gone by the morning |

That Sports Republic issued an official apology to all the Saints fans The one thing that can be taken from this season is the outstanding performance of the Saints fans. Most home and away games have been sold out and even today the away end was sold out and the fans tried their best as always to encourage the players to put some effort in. Unfortunately only Fernandez did Saints fans deserve a whole lot more than the 💩 shows dished up by SR every week |
 | Forum Thread | Strikers in the Sport Republic reign at 08:30 24 Mar 2025
With the news of yet another Ross Stewart injury setback I thought I’d put together a list of Saints strikers bought by SR: 1. Sekou Mara cost £10.2, paid £2.6m (£1.3m pa for 2yrs) scored 4 2. Paul Onuachu cost £18m, paid £3m (£1.5m pa for 2yrs) scored 3 3. Ross Stewart cost £10m, paid £2.1m (£1.04m Pa for 2yrs) scored 0 4. Cameron Archer cost £17m, paid £2m for 1yr scored 2 5. Ben Brereton-Diaz cost £7m paid £1.82m for 1 year scored 0 So in the 2.5 years Sport Republic have been here they’ve bought 5 strikers at the cost including wages of £73.72m with a goal return of 9 goals These are possibly the most incompetent owners in the history of football |

 | Forum Thread | Sports Republic PL managerial points record at 00:03 23 Feb 2025
SR sack Ralph and appoint Nathan Jones to keep us up Nathan Jones - P 8, W 1, D 0, L 7, 3 points out of possible 24 So they replace him with Seles Ruben Seles - P 18, W 2, D 5, L 11; 11 points from a possible 54 So they sack him and appoint Martin. We get promoted and I think most fans knew that unless Martin changed his style of play we’d get dicked every week Martin’s PL record - P 14, W 1, D 2, L 11; 5 points from a possible 42 So SR sack him way too late and appoint Juric Juric’s PL record so far - P 9, W 1 , D 0, L 8; 3 points from a possible 27 So Sports Republic’s managerial appointments have bagged us 22 PL points from a possible 147 available points Bunch of tools [Post edited 23 Feb 7:34]
