Bournemouth Gynaecologists versus Watford Long John Silver impersonators. Brilliant. The team should me made to watch that. So realistic. |
| News Comment | Luton humbling highlights scale of Critchley’s task — Report at 12:23:35
We are in free fall and I genuinely fear for the rest of the season. Bottom 3 is a very real possibility. I am not impressed at all with Critchley. He doesn’t Instill any confidence to me. I hope I am wrong but we need one hell of a change around to arrest this decline and there’s no Charlie Austin coming to the rescue, like 2 years, ago this time |
| News Comment | Terriers steamroller woeful Rangers — Report at 11:57:45
The past few weeks seem to sum up our 'normal' of the past 12 months. Play well for a good part of the game against 'better' teams, miss 9 out of ten goal chances, get to a position where we should be at least 2 or 3 goals clear and then let them score against the run of play. Then let out performance drop and allow the opponents to boss the game and score enough to win. And against 'inferior' teams allow them an easy goal to take a lead and then fart around with tippy tappy sideways moves, offer little threat at goal and allow the inferior team to totally boss us. I get that Warbs is working on a shoestring budget but its the same issues week in week out. With the exception of a few Peachy runs - like last years games against Cradiff and Swansea - we flatter to deceive. Many have said that he has no Plan B excepet to do Plan A better. Trouble is, after 18 months of trying he has shown he cannot make Plan A any better. His contract expires in May and I fully expect him to not have his contract renewed. In fact it wouldn't surprise me to see us lose 3 or 4 of the next 4 games . And that would surely result in his departure |
| News Comment | QPR finally click, slaughtering hapless Cardiff - Report at 06:29:03
It was a joy to watch the entire game. I must admit at times our defence made me nervous. Cardiff were very poor, most of the time lethagic and to me didn't seem to want to be there at all. Lets hope the team builds on this and its the turning point for us in converting our chances. |
| News Comment | Kane and Pugh make it a summer dozen - Signings at 08:54:59
I am actually more confident this season than last. This sweep out of the majority of the players is refreshing. I suspect it will take 6 games or so for the team to 'gel' properly so lets not panic if the first few weeks don't go to plan and we are at the bottom of the league. I saw enough yesterday to be encouraged and these two signing will add to that. Most likely this year will be a rebuild and consolidate year. Next seaosn though could be very interesting / successful indeed |
| News Comment | Hill’s stylish revenge helps unbeaten QPR to away win — report at 22:32:04
It rather summed up the entire game. Shit defending. Shit attacking. A very accurate descriptions of the match. But, in the last 2 seasons this was exactly the type of match we would have lost! If we can play poorly and win then maybe our luck has now changed for the better. The future is looking very promising indeed |

Its crazy We have on our books and under contract players that would score plenty of goals for us next year. But will any of them play for us or want to play for us? Remy - £8million buy out clause and £60K a week wages who will not want to play in the Championship in World Cup year. Cisse - proven goal score who seems a) out of favor with Harry and b) doesnt seem to want to play fo us anymore but out of favor with Harry DJ - Proven goal score in the Championship If we had these 3 in our squad, and wanting to play for us, next season forget all the others. We would be banging in goals left right and centre. If we brought in someone like say Jordan Rhodes then surely that would almost certainly assure us of a top 2 finish. But, most probably we will end up with just Zamaora and Johnson as our spearhead in attack and the other 3 off scoring for others Bummer! |
| News Comment | Walcott’s lightning start enough to slay QPR — full match report at 04:05:31
After the dreadful header by Traore, straight from the kick off to an Arsenal player, that led to the goal I was expecting us to be marmerlised! But it never happened. I don't think we were that good and Arsenal were not that bad. At times they had the ball for 2 or 3 mins without us even attempting a single tackle. But the onslaught never came. Park was pretty useless. He really is a waste of space. Ben Haim had probably his best game for us and Townsend was MOM (again) Its a shame that Remy was so quite - again - but I guess if we don't deliver the ball to him, he cant deliver the goals. If we are relying on Zamora to lead our attack next year then we are in trouble. And where was the 'fight'? Not much of it on show and that which was generally came from Townsend. We will really miss him next year. Having said all that, I really think we deserved a point. Now onto next week. Being selfish I hope Newcastle beat us and avoid the drop. Why? Well if they drop they will be far too strong for the Championship and surely would be almost guaranteed a top 2 spot. That would mean the rest of us are effectively battling for just 1 promotion spot . But if Wigan or Sunderland drop, then neither is assured of a quick bounce back and we would then have 2 promotion spots to battle for, not just the 1. Well that's my logic anyway:) |
| News Comment | Redknapp commits, Fernandes slams players — diary at 01:09:49
Footballers and Bankers. It seems that the normal rules for living, working and performance do not apply to these two types. Failure is as highly rewarded as success, sometimes more so. I for one would like QPR to take a stand and for TF to re-engineer the way footballers are rewarded. Low basics withan appearance bonus, BIG win bonuses, BIG scoring bonuses, BIG bonuses for games won and we do not concede a goal. Relegation = minimum 50% pay cut. Promotion = minimum 50% pay rise Its not rocket science and it would reward success not failure or mediocrity. The shame is that so many good players wouldn't come to us as they could go elsewhere, be paid gazillions no matter if they win, try or don't try. Its not just the players at QPR that need a reality check, the whole 'game' needs changing. |

The change in mindset is by far the most important thing on Harrys 'to do' list. But the wrong 'mind set' is ingrained so deep in a number of our players that it can only change after radical surgery - i.e get rid of a lot of players So hopefully this summer we will get rid of/pay off as many of these as possible. Maybe 10 of the 25 will be gone and I'm sure that we will be glad to see the back of them. I'm equally sure that we will be surprised at some of the players who leave too. The 11 that played today would do no better that mid table mediocrity in the Championship, maybe even worse. |
| News Comment | Stoke defeat begins QPR’s long goodbye — full match report at 09:28:25
This team will not earn another point this year. This team is made up of woeful underachievers and woeful has beens. The only exceptions were Remy & Townsend. Regrettably Derry & Hill have joined the 'has beens' as they really are a shadow of themselves compared to 2 years ago I guess we cannot underestimate the damage done by the hurried buys of Warnock and the almost fatal reign of Hughes. Its probably going to take a good couple of years to carry out the surgery required and then rebuild. Harry has 2 more years of his contract remaining. Lets give him (and Tony) our support and trust that they will have a 2 year plan as I believe the only way back will require an almost complete clearout of players and rebuild over 3 or 4 transfer windows. |

I heard that he was dropped to avoid the almost inevitable 10th yellow which would have given him a ban. Now all yellows are cleared for the remaining part of the season so he now has a clean slate and no ban |
| News Comment | Schoolboys versus men - full match report at 03:30:40
After flying 6000 miles to watch this match I was appalled at the total lack of any drive / desire or fight in our team. To me it appeared that to a man, none of them wanted to be there. Everton were not a good team but there was only ever one team that wanted the ball, fought for every ball, chased the man down and it wasn't QPR. Time and again we had the ball in an attacking position yet no one was running forward to give options. No one was looking for the pass. It was pathetic. You know, we should have beaten Everton. Their first goal was an unlucky deflection. That should have galvanised the team to right a wrong. But no, they just gave up. Where was the team that 3 nil down to Fulham, fought and nearly surprised us all? I'll tell you where it was. No where! Tony was about 6 feet from me and his expression throughout spoke volumes. Bosingwa was there in body only. Remy was quiet. Park and Granero were F'ing pathetic. In fact no one in my mind deserves Man of the Match. No one fought. No one showed that they cared. I wasn't angry. I was sad, very sad. The two yellow cards given for kicking the ball away were totally unnecessary and showed the teams state of mind. They just didn't give a toss. You could see that Harry couldn't believe what he was seeing. After Townsend was booked for his needless petulant kicking of the ball, Harry was shouting at him and playacting the giving of the yellow. I didn't hear what Harry was shouting but it must have been along the lines WTF were you thinking!??!! But Townsends reaction was to extend his arms and shrug his shoulders at Harry. His expression said (to me) - what are are shouting at me for, what did I do wrong? Pillock! And I disagree that Taarbat was underused and should have played from the start. He was no better than any of them and had one of his many (now usual) off days. Had he started he wouldn't have made one iota of difference. His idolisation by many is unwarranted. He is yesterdays man, living off one season of brilliance. Regrettably the past two seasons have been full of disappointment, lackluster performances interspersed with the occasional spark of magic. In my mind if we can flog him this summer (along with a good number of others) we should do. This team , playing like this will not get another point this season. This team, playing like this will be in another relegation fight next year. But I am convinced that 'this team' will not be 'this team' much longer. At Loftus Road we have too many 'over the hill' (no pun intended) players living off past glories - Bowsinger, Park, SWP for example. We also have players that have performed at way below what they should have /could have - Hoilett, Green, Taarabt, Granero for example and we have players that would fight to the death for QPR but sadly are now past it and just cannot play week in week out - Derry, Hill for example. Hopefully come the summer many of those players will be gone. I am also totally convinced that whatever it takes, Tony and his partners will fix this. Failure is not an option. Failure is not in their blood. They have learnt some hard and expensive lessons over the last 18 months. Let no one doubt their commitment to QPR and to us fans. In fact I think that relegation will actually make them even more determined. Hopefully it will be a case of one step backwards to go two steps forward? How I wish that footballers were on performance related pay - like much of the working population. Most of our bunch would be on minimum wage this year! Anyway, rant over. I am expecting nothing at all from this team for the remaining time in the Premiership but next year I am expecting great things from Harry, the Owners and a team of players with very different attitudes.
