Definitely going back to this one, Brian. Must remember: don’t lend books to people, especially good ones. |

Cheers Bristol! We’ve both mentioned Spike Milligan’s war memoirs. I’m a bookshop mug when I read “ the funniest” etc on the sleeve because they rarely are, but it’s too late as it’s in my bag. I think my favourite may be A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. He killed himself because initially people didn’t get his work and when they did it was a bit on the late side. What a coincidence- I’m currently reading Puckoon and after that, his autobiography. I have very happy memories being around 15/16 and reading his war memoirs on holiday one year - many proper laugh out loud moments. I’ll edit that. It’s not that big a coincidence. [Post edited 26 Oct 18:26]

I’ll second this (sorry). That clock is an utter waste of time. (Sorry). Prague is a beautiful place. Found a great restaurant and was served by Messi’s doppelgänger. The likeness was uncanny. |

The Millwall through ball landed more or less on the 18 yard line. Should Nardi have been sweeping there? Perhaps he expected better defending in front of him. I don’t know - but had he gone for that today he’s going to be rounded by the forward or will have to take him out and take the red. His shot stopping today was pretty bloody decent. |

My big thing on this today - the delivery into the box was just shockingly poor. I don’t think we had one ooh aah moment throughout the match. Maybe turn it around and play a stronger team first half instead of reacting to conceding? I realise international breaks do strange things to managers and it can be very difficult to play from the off with a few players just out of Heathrow but I fancy us more having a first half go. We have a decent bench these days. |

Regarding Sellanbys. Me and a mate popped in after Harrow Boro one Sat afternoon. I’d mentioned an album I was after. We both stood there flicking through and he only plucked it out. Bastard. This was a long time ago and I offered him £20. No chance, and he took it home; I was gutted. He moved to Sweden and came back last year for a 60th. Had a good catch up about the usuals and we all went home, my mate back to Scandinavia. Three days later, I received a package through the post and gave it to my wife as I hadn’t ordered anything - she gave it back to me. My mate had sent me the record he found in Sellanbys 40 years ago. Not selling that one. |

We have a sock amnesty basket to solve this problem. Most of them eventually turn up, but it’s a mystery for sure. |

Blimey o Riley. I was in there about 6 weeks ago. Total coincidence as I’ve only been to Suffolk once in my life and yes, we lost. Nice place, didn’t blow my mind. |

Mel’s been on the blower- tells me he’s running a coach for the Blackpool ballroom extravaganza. Who’s in? |

I went to B&Q and an assistant asked if I wanted decking. Fortunately I got my punch in first, but the manager says I can’t go there any more. |
