Our one hope is that Russell Martin may now want Bazunu up at Rangers if he goes there. |

It depends what style of football we are going to play next season but if it’s not a form of Russ ball…I’d rather Mccarthy than Bazunu But rather have Forster than McCarthy if those were the choices If we could buy someone rather than get them on a free then the fella from Stoke (who was at Rotherham previously) It’s all irrelevant anyway as Bazunu will be back as number one if he’s fit I’ve a feeling next season. |

Off to Derry~Londonderry via Dublin then Belfast tomorrow to help my youngest son pack up and return home for summer from university. Sicily in July for a concert in Taormina and a few days there. Looking at some winter sun as a main break this year. Be nice to get away from the cold at the end of the year. |

I don’t blame him, I blame the people who appointed him He’d have wanted nothing other than to be successful here. The way our karma constantly bites us on the arse I hope our fans just let it be. Same applies for Russell Martin if he comes back next season as Leicester manager. |
 | Forum Reply | 5 Things About The Arsenal Game at 12:08 26 May 2025
Went for a pint in the dell pub at the ground, seems nice inside. After that I had another beer in the fanzone at the back of the Northam. Band were good but getting served in there was chaotic. Quite sobering going from the atmosphere of that to standing in the ground with the reality of 90+ minutes of football to watch. I can see why Pat gave the game a swerve. Our subs once again came to the away teams rescue… Got the first train home I could at 18:55, it was rammed with gobby arsenal fans. Never realised what a bunch of dribblers they have in their fan base. Definitely on par with spurs and Chelsea gobshites. Thank goodness it’s all over. |
 | Forum Reply | What happens to Rusk and Lallana now ? at 08:48 26 May 2025
Rusk will return to his old role I assume. He was only the interim manager. His old role will have been left open for him. As for Lallana, who knows. I’m guessing he’s not going to be playing next season. |

Sulemana has about one good game in fifteen. Get rid. Only reason he played well today is he’s hoping to attract some interest |

Said to my son, why the need for the subs? Last game, no need to pull them off to save them for next week! FFS!! Clueless c*nts |

That’s that then. Anyone waiting to see who the new manager was before deciding whether to renew season tickets now can make their mind up |

Yes, going. Might even try the gulag at the back of the Northam as well for once. |
 | Forum Reply | Manchester City Game Matchday Thread at 07:51 10 May 2025
Still not decided. Am going to attempt park run this morning and make a choice after that. No chance of a point. City need goals due to an inferior GD to Arsenal in the race for second I believe. Painful afternoon ahead. |

That is quite fortuitous! After we won on my last visit I was half moaning to my sons that I’d been there a couple of times and never seen us get anything and our record there was awful but they’d been once and seen us walk away with a win. |
 | Forum Reply | Goodison Park Memories Thread at 22:43 8 May 2025
First visit was in 1995, a 2-0 defeat. Didn’t see us get anything there, then 2 seasons ago with the thought it might be the last chance I had to go there and make sure my boys got to visit it, I was there (thanks to Salisbury Saint getting me an extra ticket) to see our 2-1 win. Not a happy hunting ground but I love how close to the pitch older stadiums are. Shame to lose it but like the dell, it’s probably time for them to move. |
 | Forum Reply | Season Ticket renewal details at 09:45 7 May 2025
My son is renewing, I’m undecided. Number of reasons. 12:30 kick off times Increased number of midweek home game The trains/bus replacement I’m primarily waiting to see who this daft lot identify as our next manager. Another spreadsheet metric appointment and I’m probably going to not bother. |

Agreed. But there seems to be no cohesive plan with this mob. And I’d suggest on the evidence seen so far, somewhat out of their depth at this level. But they have invested, it’s a shame it’s turned out how it has as I think there’s been damage done between the club and the fans after an even bigger cluster f*ck than our last relegation. What is most disappointing is the lack of any sort of comms from the people like Solak. I hope they finally start to get it right with us. I’m not hopeful though. [Post edited 6 May 23:19]

The trouble is Nick, managers (and teams) are often remembered for their legacies. Lawrie won us the cup and saw us finish runners up in the top flight. When I think of him, those are my default memories of the guy. When we talk about Ralph we don’t automatically think, he got a tune out of the squad and topped the table with us briefly, we nearly, to a person think 9-0, or crying against Liverpool. |
 | Forum Reply | Would you have Ralph back? at 11:06 6 May 2025
The United 9-0 is not indicative of him. I understand the circumstances behind that. That cock Mike Dean, the idiot junkewitz getting a deserved straight red in the opening minutes. The Leicester one he has to own I’m afraid. Other teams get players sent off and then keep it tight in the hope of still being in the game with 10 minutes left when you can have a go at trying to salvage something. That displayed a lack of tactical nous. Shortly after that United game we played Newcastle away. They had 2 players sent off and still managed to beat us. Ralph did ok but was a busted flush at the end of his time here. Don’t get me wrong, if I thought he could turn it round here I’d give him a chance. The fact he’s had a similar run in Germany to the ones he used to have here (feast or famine) results wise tells me he probably hasn’t evolved as a coach/manager |
