Stats may prove me wrong but I recall Tony Sealy having a pretty ropey start to his time at QPR, but then recovering to be half decent and scoring a few goals for us. Chants of 'Sealy must go' were not uncommon in his early days |

I think that's fair re judgement on a match by match basis - long term will be the key. But the turnaround in atmosphere in a few short weeks is quite remarkable. I now really look forward to going to games, and am even excited, whereas that was not the case at the start of the season. |

if this is all true, and I can certainly believe that it is, it does make you wonder why the last coaching and management team didn't take the same approach. Presumably the club saw value in him or they wouldn't have splashed out the transfer fee, so you'd think a decent coach/manager (which I definitely thought Cifuentes was) would've made the effort to get more out of him. Perhaps Julien is a better coach or maybe it's something esle. Whatever it is, it's great to see. Feel good factor around the club is immense right now. And as a previously harsh critic of Nourry, I'm already happy to say I may have been wrong. You love to see it |

absolutely. Got me off my feet that. Wilkins-esque |

Agree, he had a good game today. We looked solid in midfield. Also agree that Saito was MOM but Vale ran him close - he looks a player [Post edited 20 Sep 15:03]

Yeah Graham Wilkins never played for us, and there was another brother, Stephen who I think played for Brentford |

I didn't know Bob Carolgees turned out for us |

agree Neil Reynolds is excellent on Sky. As you say, he adds actual insight and analysis rather than just describing the play, He's also very skilled at getting the most out of the co-presenters. I've been to a lot of games. Used to watch the Giants regularly when we lived over there (and Jets occasionally) and have been to games at Wembley and Tottenham. It's a different experience in London as a) you don't get the tailgating, which is a lot of fun and b) you get fans form lots of different teams there, unsurprisingly, so the atmosphere is quite different. However, if you like the game and get a chance to go to one of the London games then I'd highly recommend it |

I watched it and was pretty outraged by it. Brian Deane and Danny Murphy in particular come across as very hard done by. I honestly don't know what the BBC's supposed narrative would be so I can't comment on that. It seemed like objective reporting to me. All sides were given the opportunity to participate in the programme |

completely agree with this Brian. Really enjoyed the pod and I thought it was great to have Matt on there with some opposing views for discussion. But that bit really grated with me too. There is no way anyone could ever convince me that Nourry has/had more relevant experience than Les for a DOF role. Whether he turns out to be more successful is a completely separate matter but sometimes you just have to call BS. |

Great ‘use’ of single ‘quote marks’ in the OP. Is it David Baddiel’s ‘ mother’? We should be told |

this is a tough one though I think - cos what else are they supposed to say? If you read my few posts on here you will see that I'm no fan of the current regime but this is not one of the areas I am critical of. Anyone with eyes and a brain can see things ain't sweetness and light currently, but I really don't see what else the club could or should do on the official website |

maybe, maybe not. Perhaps we don't all understand the rules or etiquette of fan websites. If there's a handy pocket guide somewhere please point me in that direction. |
