I have to agree, McNulty made the mistake of dropping EEL, Rodney and Berkoe from the starting eleven, which seem to unsettle and even made the team disjointed. As stated McBride and Barlow are similar players and looked tiny against some of the big buggers Halifax had, the changes also seem to isolate Mani, in that he needs somebody like Rodney next to him and on his own, it allowed Halifax to effectively mark out of the game in the first half. No more needed to added about Hogans limitations, in comparison to EEL. I will give McNulty credit, he recognise the mistakes by bringing on Rodney, EEL and Berkoe, on throughout the second half, which made us more competitive and allowed us to get back into the game, and we had the chances to get a equaliser in the second half. At least we are still second, with the chance to go top, if we beat Forest Green on Saturday and in truth the second half was a good game for the neutral and Halifax deserves praise for an excellent performance. The win at Carlisle was excellent and even fans on their forum state on how we were superior to them, we have two tough games this week, but I feel the season so far as given the whole club a buzz that I have not seen for sometime. Does anyone know how many fans we took to Carlisle. |

An excellent performance last night, we could have been five up at half time, with the chances we had. I felt we sat back when we went four up and allowed them to get into the game, which we cannot afford to do against Carlisle and Forest Green. It was nice to see East brilliant get the deserve the MoM award, but you could say that no one had a bad game for the Dale last night, Gilmour deserves special credit not only for last night, but overall his performances this season as been excellent. A very enjoyable night. [Post edited 24 Sep 8:54]

The game was poor and no disrespect to Truro, but they are a poor side, who we made them look good in the second half by our negative pass it backwards walking football. We looked disjointed and disorganised at times, and Manni's yellow card was disappointing, I don't know if the performance was due to the Dale flying down, if I correct on the Saturday or McNulty tactical decisions and preferred football style. At least it was a win and points on the board. With Manni missing, I would start with Hendo up front with Rodney, having said that McBride did okay when he came on. [Post edited 14 Sep 15:31]

If Manni got a yellow card against Truro, would he not miss the national league cup against Blackburn, which I belief is on Tuesday or do these games not count in terms of suspensions. |

A good result today,I was worried that it would be a difficult game, but to win 3-1 and from all accounts, we could have got more, is a good sign. Yes we will have difficult games coming up, but winning 6 out of 7 (thanks to the debacle at Brackley) gives the team confidence. It is sad news about Pritchard injury, lets hope it is only short-term, but thankfully, I would like to think our squad is capable of covering any injuries, unlike last season. |

Jack Griffiths is at the Dale on a non-contract basis, I cannot comment on his performance at Brackley, others who attend may be better to give an assessment on his performance. I am waiting for McNulty excuses of 'we have a lower budget then others in the league' or we are in the 'second year of a three journey'. As I have previously stated, I like Jim as a person, but I have serious doubts about his ability to get Dale promoted, in that he has a preferred style of football, which he seems reluctant to alter at times, yet when we do, we can be brilliant. Is this as others have said, it is inability to learn or unwillingness to change or the fact he is to nice and in football, you need to be ruthless at times. I had hopes that Taylor and Done, would have had a quiet word in his ear about the football style or team selection. There is no doubt that McNulty team selection and to some extent, even his after match comments may have had an his position at the Dale. I just wish McNulty would wake up and admit, he buggered up at Brackley, rather then pretending it was a good performance. |

I have just listen to McNulty and not once did he take any responsibility for the defeat, and his very questionable decision to change all eleven, admittedly Whatmuff was down to illness. He said it was due to the risk of injury that had occurred last season to EEL and Mancini which ruled them for a good period, but it is worrying if he is that risk averse, that he may play our strongest team every week to avoid injuries. I can understand three or four players, but the whole team is beyond me. I did not go and the people who attended may provide a fair assessment of the game, but McNulty said we dominated the game and suggested that nine times out of ten the Dale would have won, and describe Brackley's win as a 'snatch and grab' result. McNulty is likeable as a person, but I have always thought he is our biggest handicap to achieving success, in that he sometimes over thinks the game or seem to think the style of our play is more important then being ruthless like on Wednesday to win games. I think it was a Woking fan last season and to paraphrase them, in that they suggested 'that we are a playoff team, but won't get promoted whilst McNulty is manager'. By the way, McNulty as suggested that the normal starting eleven (i.e last Wednesday team) will be back on Monday. |

It was a brilliant performance and it shows that if we play to our full potential, with the squad we have, we can dominate games in the same mould as Barnet did last season. In that we dominated Gateshead and put them on the back foot from the first to the last minute of the game. The crucial thing is that we have a good squad in both numbers and quality, this season, that allows us to rotate the team to a degree. Yes, we will have bad games and poor results that is the nature of football, but after three games, the signs are very good for this season, because the recruitment this season as been excellent by the Dale over the summer. If rumours are correct, they have also lost their GK Harry Burgoyne and a young midfield player Harvey McAdam. I hope they survive, but I doubt if they will, because reading the Morecambe Forum, you get the impression that their owner says he wants a deal with Panjab Warriors or some other mysterious investors, but then apparently refuses to speak to anyone. It makes you wonder what his motive is. |

I may be wrong, but are there not rules banning or restricting the searching of people under the age of sixteen, due to safeguarding legislation. This is on safeguarding may also to adults, for example, I belief a male police officer cannot search a female suspect, I believe, it requires a female officer to do the search. I accept I may be wrong on this issue and would accept any correction with grace. [Post edited 24 Jul 9:17]

May I ask, do you think that Mani and Devante could be used in together in a starting eleven or not. |
 | Forum Reply | Morecambe at 13:41 16 Jul 2025
Jason Whittingham seems to be following the same process, at Worcester he claimed he had a buyer, who never seem to appear, at Morecambe he is now suggesting he as received a new bid for Morecambe, despite having agreed to sell the club to Panjab Warriors and if true received the money for the club, but will not complete the sale according to the Morecambe Forum. At Worcester it was claimed that he was involved in asset stripping the club through a very complicated use of companies, which Jason Whittingham denied. Now the Morecambe Forum seem to suggest that some of the land, not owned by the trust, was sold in June to a mysterious buyer, so it makes you wonder. I hope Morecambe survive for the sake of the fans, but it is starting to look 50/50 at the moment. |

Did he not say, some are still recovering from injuries last season and others will not be used at FC UTD, in that they need a bit more time. |

It may involve off loading places via transfers or loans, as in the case with Armstrong. Hopefully we can hold onto our key players, because selling people like Beckwith or Rodney may send the wrong message to the fans, that the club are not serious about promotion. We can only wait to see what happens in the coming weeks. |

I feel sorry for the Morecambe fans, we came very close to losing our club to shysters and the problems they create to a club. I hope Morecambe survive, but I have grave doubts due to the actions of the Morecambe FC owner, who seems to find excuses for not selling the club from blaming the fans for online abuse to any excuse he can find. James Whittingham as form and to quote Kieran Maguire, 𝗞𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 - "Morecambe owner Jason Whittingham has been involved as a director of 25 companies, 10 have been dissolved, 2 are in receivership, 1 has been liquidated, 1 is in administration and between them they have had 57 strike off notices. Fit and proper to own a football club? I'll let you decide." James Whittingham reminds me of Steve Dale, who helped destroy Bury FC, there must be some form of rules that stop people like these running football clubs. I hope I am wrong and survive, because I don't like any football disappearing, but it is looking very dodgy for them. |

I wonder if we paid a fee for him, because this what Maidenhead posted. 'Maidenhead United can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of Casey Pettit to Rochdale AFC' I am losing count of how many midfielders that we have. |
