Jason Whittingham seems to be following the same process, at Worcester he claimed he had a buyer, who never seem to appear, at Morecambe he is now suggesting he as received a new bid for Morecambe, despite having agreed to sell the club to Panjab Warriors and if true received the money for the club, but will not complete the sale according to the Morecambe Forum. At Worcester it was claimed that he was involved in asset stripping the club through a very complicated use of companies, which Jason Whittingham denied. Now the Morecambe Forum seem to suggest that some of the land, not owned by the trust, was sold in June to a mysterious buyer, so it makes you wonder. I hope Morecambe survive for the sake of the fans, but it is starting to look 50/50 at the moment. |

Any info on the players on trial. |

Did he not say, some are still recovering from injuries last season and others will not be used at FC UTD, in that they need a bit more time. |

It may involve off loading places via transfers or loans, as in the case with Armstrong. Hopefully we can hold onto our key players, because selling people like Beckwith or Rodney may send the wrong message to the fans, that the club are not serious about promotion. We can only wait to see what happens in the coming weeks. |

As Oscar Kelly signed his contract, I have heard now't. |

You took the words out of my mouth, I expected at least a GK. |

I feel sorry for the Morecambe fans, we came very close to losing our club to shysters and the problems they create to a club. I hope Morecambe survive, but I have grave doubts due to the actions of the Morecambe FC owner, who seems to find excuses for not selling the club from blaming the fans for online abuse to any excuse he can find. James Whittingham as form and to quote Kieran Maguire, 𝗞𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 - "Morecambe owner Jason Whittingham has been involved as a director of 25 companies, 10 have been dissolved, 2 are in receivership, 1 has been liquidated, 1 is in administration and between them they have had 57 strike off notices. Fit and proper to own a football club? I'll let you decide." James Whittingham reminds me of Steve Dale, who helped destroy Bury FC, there must be some form of rules that stop people like these running football clubs. I hope I am wrong and survive, because I don't like any football disappearing, but it is looking very dodgy for them. |

I wonder if we paid a fee for him, because this what Maidenhead posted. 'Maidenhead United can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of Casey Pettit to Rochdale AFC' I am losing count of how many midfielders that we have. |

Taylor as spent a few years coaching at Barrow and Done as been coaching at Port Vale, so they have some coaching experience. |

I think it brings more actual playing experience to the management set up, especially on match day, which can only be a positive thing, especially when you consider both have played for the Dale. |

Agree, hopefully we have a goalkeeper in before Saturdays pre-season game at FC United. |

McNulty seems to be (hopefully) aiming to have cover for each position, with Tutonda possibly being cover for Beckwith (if we don't sell him) and Moss being cover for Gordon. If this is the case, I can see Armstrong going out on loan again, hopefully the board will seek to hold onto Beckwith, but if we get a massive offer, you never know. We now need a couple of goalkeepers (1 to start and one as cover) and a couple of capable forwards to complete the squad [Post edited 4 Jul 10:27]

The teachings of the Catholic Church is clear on the matter and why should they change their teachings to comply with the the woke liberal left. I accept that the Vatican stance on this may be deemed outdated and the priest should not have not condemned the MP in his sermons. I believe the C of E, the Muslim Council and the Catholic Church in England have all been opposed to the assisted dying bill and the abortion bill due to different concerns. To remove the Holy Communication from a Catholic is a more debatable issue and normally is a decision you would expect to be made by a senior member of the church. [Post edited 30 Jun 19:53]

I hope it is a big centre forward like Rodney, who can score twenty goals a season and crucially can bully the opposition defenders. On a side note, Ferguson as signed for Yeovil. |

McNulty said in his interval that he wanted that had depth, unlike last season. Hopefully Beckwith will be at the Dale this season, strangely the defensive signings have been on the right, not the left. Does Mcnulty see this area as a weakness and is Moss cover for Gordon, in the same way Armstrong is cover for Beckwith. |

I know now't about him, so I will wait to the season starts to see how he plays. I see Hogan as signed a new contract, which worries me,in that we have two players in the mid-30's at the heart of the defence, which at times last season was ponderous to say the least. |
 | Forum Reply | Rumour Mill at 10:59 27 Jun 2025
I have to agree, we have already the basis of a play off team, but McNulty is already making excuses of being relatively inexperience, which is true, but after two seasons he should know what we need to improve and even get advice from people like Keith Hill. As some body else as implied, Jim thinks and if I am honest, also acts like an academy coach and that may be his long term future, and that may also be his problem in how he manages games. He states that he prefers players with a nice personalty, never mind their personalty, I want players with a winning mentality. Hopefully we will have some signings in the coming weeks, which will show if he as learned anything from the last two seasons. One thing I found interesting in his interview, he mentioned creating a squad with more depth to allow the team to cope issues over the season. |
 | Forum Reply | Rumour Mill at 17:50 26 Jun 2025
I have just listen to McNulty and the squad is back in next week, he indicated he is in discussion with a number of players, but, all but admits it is still a learning process. Hopefully he has learn from last season and does not recruit lightweight players, who get dominated by the opposition. |

I hope it is not true as well, we should be strengthening the team and rejecting any potential bids. Both Carlisle and York are favourites, both are spending and signing good players, and the bookies are not stupid, when it comes to making money, but you never know, there could be a shock. We are, I believe fourth favourites, but if we hold onto the key players and recruit the right players, hopefully we can make a challenge like Oldham. Does anyone know when the players are back. |
