a good performance against Man City and a win at Charlton will turn out to be a good week for Sheehan and the team.

Ipswich may have done an early season ticket deal last season when they were in the Prem forcing fans to keep their seat not knowing what division they would be in?

I expect we will win today which will take us to w:4 dr:4: l4: = mid table = average = is what we really are.

And even if performances and results continue to be poor, I cannot see how we can afford to keep changing managers every x months. It is not sustainable.

One slightly better transfer window (Summer 2025) does not equal automatic promotion.

It is all documented on Prime Video with the Leeds documentary - there is nearly a chapter dedicated to the Dan James transfer fiasco.

48 hours after the transfer collapse - Jenkins left.

Can anyone think of an obvious replacement?

We should get around 1500 or more tickets for Charlton?
at 19:43 20 Oct 2025

Got tickets for the game but the ticketing website is very user unfriendly.

This may not be popular but our best transfer business was 2012-2013 and this was down to Laudrup and Bayram.

History should be kind to Jenkins. He did a lot more good than bad but 2016 was certainly the low. But what he did in January 2019 should be commended.

Check out this interview he gave - it is quite telling about his relationship with the new owners 2016-2019:

the stars did align for one time only - a cash machine in Swansea City centre dispensed £25,000 in one go (most limits are £750) to pay off Antony Petty. It was a miracle that evening.

Huw's peak moment was turning his mobile phone off to Leeds in January 2019 around Daniel James.

His best act.
His final act.

Lightening was never going to strike twice.

The stars aligned for us in the period 2004-2007 and the rest is history. Good history! (up until 2016)

Southampton v Swansea City : Match day thread (UPDATED)
at 21:58 18 Oct 2025

Southampton team were the better side and should have won.

I am a bit bored watching us.
I try not to miss a game where possible but I can't say I am looking forward to the QPR game. I will watch it on Sky but I am not expecting much.

And as for the last transfer window - it was "better" versus the previous 4-6 windows but that is not saying much when the bar was so low/rock bottom.

I am expecting four point from nine across the next 3 games.
That would be in keeping with current form.

This summer's transfer window was better.

Better compared to every window since the Birch-Cooper period (2021).

We have had 4 underwhelming years of transfer activities = 8-9 transfer windows where we have been disappointed/and at times last minute panic moves.

It may take another 2-3 transfer windows before we become serious promotion contenders. We are in a period of "repair".

Cravatt may need to seek some advice.

We cannot go changing managers after one bad run.

It is unlikely we will be in a relegation fight.

Another season of consolidation may just be fine. Expectations need to be managed.
The club is a long way off from being prepared for a serious promotion push / being competitive in the premier league. A long way off.

our three wins this season - are against the current bottom 3...

Maybe the international break has come at the right time.

12 points from 27.
won 3, drawn 3, lost 3
average.

and I have always thought this squad is mid-table.
Which may be fine this season with all the turbulence from the last 8 years.

The club should have sold it as a bundle for Leicester and QPR home (and even Millwall).
Buy those tickets and you are guaranteed to be able to buy a ticket for Man City?

Maybe he is on 40k a week - with Celtic paying 20k and the Swans paying 20k?
Maybe there is a clause where Celtic stop paying if we become a Premier League club.
