I though Henderson did well. |

Sorry, didn't mean to down vote that, but re your (ii) surely England have plenty of players well capable of running at players, from Andorra at least, through the middle. I know Eze for one can extremely well, but it looked from the way he and others played back or across that they were instructed to do that. The only penetration tended to be mostly out wide mainly from Madueka. |

Colback had the best pass completion rate of the whole squad last season if I remember right. He looked the midfielder most capable of getting us moving the ball through midfield with quick, angled forward, short give/take passing as well. As he did the season before that imo. I wouldn't be letting him go without having a decent replacement if he doesn't cost too much, but then that goes for most of our players. |

Sure money will be a factor for Dunne as it is for everyone. But what I've heard him say is that he wants to play in the PL. SU didn't make it so I 'm less sure he wants to go there. Unless he's offered a contract by a PL Club he might be happy to stay with us if he felt he had a decent chance of that with us. Over to you Misters Hoos and Nourry. I think the first thing they need to do is get MC and Calm back on board again. |

I think we need to sign a big powerful striker for the likes of Kelman, Celar and maybe Kolli to play off. An alternative, ideally a better alternative to Frey. |

I feel disappointed for him too. We do have a few No10's now so I guess he wouldn't have got many 1st team games unless our injury nightmares in that position get even worse next season, I wouldn't be shocked. But why didn't we try and get him out on a good season long loan, get him "man's football" and evaluate him again next summer? |

A really boring game with little quality, fell asleep before the end. Way below the standard of the FA Cup Final, and not much better than an average Championship game. |

I think we really need a big powerful striker who can hold the ball up and feed the likes of Celar, Kelman and Kolli possibly, with Frey his back up. Frey probably isn't going to be available all the time, and without him we don't have that big hold-up striker we need. |

I was just thinking this before I saw this thread. Paul Furlong looks an excellent candidate for the 1st team job to me, if he wants it. |

Didn't look good, couldnt put any weight on his leg when he went off, and was walking around after the game in what looked like a knee brace and on crutches. |

Great we've won a Cup this season. Really good team perormance, Furlong should be proud too. A very enjoyable game with the right result and young players showing great promise. |

I didn't see the 1st half but didn't see much quality football, especially not from Orient other than their penalties, though they defended well. The back heeled Stockport equaliser was the highlight |

It's not just slowing the clocks down though is it, though the added time frequently doesn't cover close to what has been wasted. It's also time wasted to break up the rhythm/fluency/continuation of the oppositions attacks trying to hold on to a point or three. [Post edited 14 May 11:14]

Our main priority for me if affordable, is a big, strong, hold-up type traditional striker who can feed balls into space in the box for the likes of Kelman, Celar, Koli maybe and can score a few himself. He'd need to have some pace, an upgrade on Dykes if you like with Frey as back-up if he's staying for next season. But as you say that would need a "tweak" to the favoured methodology. |

If potentially he can score close to the number of goals for us next season as he has for Orient this, it's not inconceivable that we adapt our our style of play to fit his strengths. |
