 | Forum Thread | Get a kiwi "Do not pass Go and do not collect $200"??? at 15:18 17 Jun 2025
Sir Huw seems to making better signings this season with Matt Smith a Welsh international midfielder and this giant ,New Zealand keeper. They could be popular in the lower leagues as I understand it FIFA pay big feed for EC2022 players. I am not sure of it is all world cups or a special care and the lady one in Qatar was in the winter.(A one off??). Morrell is another free Welsh international he could consider Both featured for Page so should well above league 2. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cq8z23972l8o [Post edited 17 Jun 15:21]

 | Forum Thread | Swansea semi pro Women. Good value? at 20:56 16 Jun 2025
At the risk of being accused of various phobia I again bravely raise the issue of the new club strategy of bring the women's team in to the centre of the club. They are now semi professional but I understand the team is not performing very well. 5th in the Adran league where Llansawel Briton Ferry were second. Coleman had big plans fro this team but seem to suggest it would be Wales only operation. How much is it all costing? It was funded by Leigh Dineen before apparently bravo to him. Taking a team back up staff and coaches to Europe will not be cheap and poor value to be hammered. I would back them all the way if there is a plan for them to be self financing. | Forum Thread | Wales 21 team selection. at 18:54 28 May 2025
I have long had concerns about Matt Jones who single handedly blew Wales u21 chances by not selecting his star players. He then allowed a basic book keeping error in the FAW which saw 6 player returned from the first team declared intelligible . His recent squad excludes his two biggest stars Bianchieri of Man Utd and Iwan Morgan who has been on Brentford's PL bench at 19. Cardiff born Bianchieri has joined Canada s summer camp and Morgan is mysteriously not selected. FAW cannot let these two slip away. |
 | Forum Thread | Ollie Cooper a big season ahead at 09:46 16 May 2025
Ollie Cooper is a useful squad player and presumably not the highest of paid. Contract to 2027. He had a very good 2023-2024 season but regressed 2024-2025. At around 24 you want to see a sharp progression ideally. He did not score enough goal given the position he plays. Only one last season although he was often sub Weidel Congreve and Cotterill will all be given their chance. He is under pressure. Get in the gym stay on his feet more and sharpen up the finishing including heading the ball and he can feature. Three academy lads battling for one place should keep everyone focussed. One will go on loan after preseason or in January I suspect. [Post edited 16 May 9:49]

 | Forum Thread | Gas storage UK Centrica. at 12:32 8 May 2025
As I understand it gas prices in UK are so high because it depends on global prices. In order to mitigate price hikes some nations have huge gas storage facilities. They buy gas when it is cheapest and sells it when it is higher but still below the global price. You no longer see the old gas tanks in towns .. Centrica which evolved from British Gas want to develop the Rough gas storage scheme in the North sea but it is very expensive work. They have asked the Government for a contribution. This is exactly what they should be doing. Infrastructure to lower bills. (Buy cheap sell cheaper) I am a shareholder from the Thatcher era. My share took a hit today dues to the high cost of storage development. https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-14690973/British-Gas-owners- [Post edited 8 May 12:33]

 | Forum Thread | Sami going to the dark side.? at 18:18 7 May 2025
WoL extract. "In the final game of the campaign, Cardiff fielded a trialist, Swansea striker Sammy Henia-Kamau. The 19-year-old becomes a free agent when his contract expires next month." Glory Nzingo has also left on loan. Will he return.? Both looked promising. There's recently has been a welcome slew of promising local lads. Woodward, Bates, Harvey Gray Callum Jones (u17) Even Cullen is scoring great goals with his head. I salute him for grafting and improving. He is a slow burner. [Post edited 7 May 18:20]
