I’m sure it’s a been a tougher season than Nourry expected. He’s made mistakes - some good players have come in, some promising future players have come in. We’ve had a few shockers too. I don’t know any club that gets it 100% right on player recruitment but Celar and Madsen have been really bad ones to date. Feels as though Celar needs time; Madsen looks incredibly lazy and out of it, just can’t see him being a success here I’m afraid.
I don’t know Nourry, never talked to the guy, so it’s only a helicopter view from me. Yes he’s young, he’s crammed a lot of experience into his youthful years and I’m sure he’s learning. He’s made a lot of changes that needed making in the youth systems - which others have avoided. He could, however, end up with a huge blot on his reputation if Martí walks (even more so if we have a worse season in 25/26). I think there’s more to come from Nourry, we’ll see. Something needed to change and he’s at least done some of that.
He hasn’t taken us down but he hasn’t improved our fortunes much on the pitch either. This coming off-season is going to be huge for him and the club. Will it be improvement? More of the same? Or disaster? No bloody idea - this is QPR after all. [Post edited 11 Apr 8:56]

Let’s remember though … it’s a poor performance bar so low you couldn’t get under it; and a low performance bar that’s so high you couldn’t really get over it. |

Great result tonight. Not a particularly good performance, especially that second half - geez - but 3pts were what we needed and 3pts was what we got! So all good in the Marti hood.
He certainly loved it at the end. Have to feel for him with all the injuries.

If Madsen is in the middle of a personal crisis you would expect that to reflect in his normal weekly training sessions too - resulting in him being dealt with in whatever appropriate fashion was needed.
He clearly can’t perform on the field, in any fashion, as a footballer. So something has to change.
I’d like to think he could come good. I’d also like to think Jo Whiley would fancy a naked dip with me. I’ve accepted neither is going to happen. I can deal with the Jo Whiley situation; I’ve absolutely no idea how the club are going to deal with Madsen saga though. |

No doubt Kelman should be given an opportunity. Big issue for him could be will we/are we capable of getting any decent balls to him?
One other idea is to offer Madsen to Orient as a player swap (I know he’s on loan, I know, but maybe they’ll forget and just do the deal). |

Definitely a tricky second half for us. We’ve done amazing to get 2 goals.
But with Leeds pressure we could fade. Gonna need 100% from the lads this half to get anything.
