We do actually have a proven goal scorer in the championship still on the books I in Adam Armstrong, after last season I think it's hard to have any positivity but maybe we should try and let's see how Will does with the players which remain and come in? If we're as bad as many seem to think we will be come October then we can be pessimistic but let's have some hope for now? |

Just read an article which could be complete rubbish on EFL Analysis that the Colo-Colo player we are supposedly interested in would not be happy joining us as he would be loaned out to Goztepe straight away! |

Lets just hope we keep and get players that are in the manager's plans unlike last summer when we accumulated players that Martin didn't give the chance to play or when he did not in there correct positions and buying a right back to replace KWP who didn't leave, I lost count last season how many times we had 4 full backs on the field and no strikers! |

Lost the internet mid-post, the short version of what I did say was we were stupid not selling him last summer for whatever we could get as Martin was not going to play him and saved a years wages but as he is still here we may as well now keep him as an option as we won't be able to replace him for the money received and the wages saved? That got me thinking, that Martin was not going to play him, just how many players we bought or loaned last season who Matin and the 1 loanie Juric got did not play, let's hope Spors and Still actually speak to each other and the players retained (whoever they are), bought or loaned are actually in the Managers thoughts of playing, I know it's a squad game but the players available at least need to have a chance of playing? |

Nick, it may only be a few million here and there but all these few millions here and there add up and I would of rather we'd invested the total amount in a proper centre forward last summer and gave ourselves a fighting chance of staying up, you only have to look at Bournemouth's or Brighton's investment in top players against ours, Ramsdale aside we invested in no proven quality at all, just gambles of a few to ten million here and there? |

Edozie may flatter to deceive but at least he knows where the goal is and I would rather him than our highest transfer fee who wins the prize for flattering to deceive and has one good game a season. |

Have to agree, this has slowly been happening since the creation of the premier league, they want a closed shop and this is now only helped by the FFP rules making it basically impossible to compete and even then they cheat and get away with it! It will be interesting if the 3 promoted clubs this year come straight back down for the third season in a row and if by a major miracle we get promoted, great, another season of getting hammered every week, there's no hope left any more. Not that I like it or follow it but even the women's game has quickly followed the money with Chelsea winning all domestic competitions year in year out! |
