Trump seemed happy with only thing they did agree, was on that 2020 Presidential Election was rigged, so will deem meeting as a major success I’m sure |

Made the trip down to Cornwall yesterday to watch the National League Cup game For me it fulfilled my aim to get on train down to Penzance, the mostly southerly point after previously getting to Thurso the most northerly point of UK rail network, whilst also ticking off another new ground. Saints lost 3-2 to an 85th minute goal, but played pretty well, passing the ball around nicely, but they wasted several opportunities, particularly when the wide men got behind the defence but their final balls into the centre were often poor with plenty of players ready to finish off the move. Had little idea last night who was playing for us, but was impressed with our nos 8 and 15. On checking this morning 8 was Sesay, who played in several preseason first team games, 15 was Dipepa, who held up the ball really well up front. Bragg who played for first team last year, Ballard off the bench and Moody a keeper who was on the bench at Northampton also featured Good to see at least 50 other Saints fans in the crowd of 1906 A decent game, and with a 7pm kick off, back in the pub in Truro in time to watch Spurs chuckle away 2-0 leads in both match and penalties to round off a good day out |

Got back to Salisbury 12.15, took ages to get out of car park after the game, then our sat nav took us via Wantsge A338 then back to Abingdon Shame ground so far out, as great pubs in centre including the Malt Shovel, so we got Uber in and lift back with mate to ground for match |

Was £65 return with split tickets and 26-30 railcards for my son and his mate on Friday from Salisbury to Hull, but essential you use Hull Trains from Kings Cross not LNER to get cheaper fares |

I really like Hull, it’s got character and food and beer in City there, cheap as chips |

Most of us do pay enough tax, but not the super rich who through tax loopholes, off shore accounts etc avoid playing their fair share. If they paid in line with the rest of us, we wouldn’t be in half the trouble we are in. And the argument that wealth trickles down the rest of us is a fallacy, the majority just hoard it away for themselves. Only the likes of Bill Gates in the US have a social conscience. |
