Some very reasonable points made tonight after a rare home defeat. Halifax deserve credit for ensuring the ball was nipped away from our feet on many occasions in the first half. Great energy and commitment, which threw us. Dale deserve credit for a proper fighting second half (and wise subs by Jim). The chances just didn't go in tonight. We've won 9 lost 2 which is astonishing form. We can see the errors in team selection that cost us the defeats. I hope Jim can too. Sheet happens, but not that much these days. Still 2nd in the league with games in hand. Tonight's visitors have played two games more with six points less. UP THE DALE |

Thanks, Podcasters. That was a wonderful listen. Apart from the interviewee's engaging input, you asked some great questions and gave some wise observations. Brilliant all round. |

Little needs adding to the, rightly, complimentary observations above. Would never have guessed 12 months ago, or even 6 months ago, Jim could have turned out a side so fast, crisp, efficient and great to watch as he did last night. Not for the first time this season either. Also, eight wins out of the first nine in the league is just astonishing work. Well done to all concerned. |

Apparently, buckets 2.0 have to replay said game v Wythenshawe away tonight following an FA ruling. Apparently, buckets 2.0 fans are screaming from the rooftops that it is everybody else's fault but their own. Some things never change. |

I guess there is a feeling from last season that when we went up against the teams who threatened the play off / promotion places, we mostly bottled it. There was a lack of character when under that sort of pressure and "clout" was unfortunately used as an excuse which wasn't believed. We were weak in those contests and the finger pointed at the manager. We'll see over the next few games how the character / bottle / game management of what is a far better quality team as a whole holds up to such challenges. I hope our current fantastic start to the season (bar one aberration) proves we have the kahunas to succeed in games to come. Over to you, Jim. |

A solid win, that wasn't easy to come by. Credit to our lads for the 3 points. First ten minutes, I christened the ref Braintree Braintree such was his biased incompetence. How he loved Braintree in spite of the facts. One for TVOS: Have we ever won 6 of our first 7 league games before? Can't fault 18 from 21, but then we remember Brackley... Silly Jim. Great start. The Scunny game seems to have been controversial re: its abandonment. unless newer facts are available? [Post edited 6 Sep 22:09]

Didn't he send an e mail prior to the infamous night of the meetings in June 2021 claiming credible parties were in place to take over the club? In just over a month, it was clear how lacking in credibility said "parties" were. Birds of a feather..... |
